MidwayUSA Field Trip

History

MidwayUSA is a family-owned mail order company that specializes in shooting, reloading, gunsmithing, hunting and outdoor products. The owners turned their passion for shooting sports into a career by opening a small retail firearms store named Ely Arms in 1977. In 1979, the name changed to Midway Arms, Inc. Eventually, mail order sales dominated and the retail store closed in 1984. For more information on our history, please read more About MidwayUSA.

As the business grew, physical expansions took place in 1982, 1986, 1987,1988, 1991 and 1994. The current floor space is 100,000 square feet. Our facility features state-of-the-art information systems, automated order processing, an automated conveyor system and much more.

It is important to note our dedication to the shooting sports. Many of our associates enjoy both hunting and shooting and we take pride in having a knowledgeable customer service staff. Currently, we have a number of competitive shooters on our staff, including regular participants in the coveted NRA Bianchi Cup competition.
