I was pleased with my SKS gas tube I bought from Midway. I just wished the hand guard came in Digital Camo like the rest of my stock. I had to switch my old hand guard to the new gas cylinder, which required some drilling. It also took a bit of filing on the gas cylinder to get it to snap securely. It did mention that in the instructions. It works great though.

Fitting was minimal and ...

Shipping was faster than ...

Shipping was faster than stated. Purchased Tapco Intrafuse stock for Yugo SKS. Accidentally purchased standard SKS gas tube, but it works great. Diamond stone worked excellent at creating tight fit from tube to gun. Stock comes with lag screw for pistol grip. Tap the stock for 1/4"x20 thread to use a bolt instead for longevity. Thread lock all hardware. NcStar foldable, bayonet bipod will not fit Yugo bayonet mount. Must tap and install threaded insert if looking for foldable bipod mount.

Be sure you look at the ...

Be sure you look at the installation insturctions on line before ordering. Bought this in December and just now had the time to install it.... Doesn't fit the Yugo, and guess who owns a Yugo.... It's probably been too long to send it back but I will try to do so..... Can't really rate it since it won't work on my weapon, but it looks really good....

It's a great product, ...

It's a great product, like it said you have to modify it slightly to make it fit. The only problem I had with it is that I have a tri-rail and the built in rails on it get in the way. So I actually had to cut them off then file down the sides to make my rails fit for my other accessories. Other than that, it is a great product.

Excellent TAPCO quality ...

Excellent TAPCO quality as always. One note on fitment: In addition to filing the gas tube itself, there are small nubs of plastic protruding from the bottom of the handguard. My particular rifle necessitated these nubs be sanded flush, otherwise the unit sat too high and required excessive filing to fit the latch (ie: encroaching the bore for the gas piston) You mileage may vary

I purchased one of these ...

I purchased one of these in black and am going to put an OD green stock and this gas tube on another SKS that I own. The fit and finish as well as the comfort and ergonomics of these Tapco setups are the best of any of the aftermarket SKS stocks.You may have to grind a little of the metal to get this to fit as mentioned in another review, but I don't see this as a bad thing. I ground off my last purchase just so that it would fit MY gun, making the fit extremely tight. I haven't mounted a scope on this yet, but that will give me a scope mount that will not jump around nearly as much.

Good product. Adds a ...

Good product. Adds a compliance part to your Yugo SKS. Saves pounding the crap out of your factory tube. Please make some time in your install for filing the rear, you will need it. Would get 5 stars if the rail was aluminum.
