At many times, was skeptical of these bases fitting properly. After promptly receiving them, I mounted them on my Ruger 44 magnum Carbine.The fit was perfect! A grade AAA product for those who want to mount a scope on that older 44 auto. Not sure if there was a problem in the past with these bases, but they got it right now for sure. It is a great value as well.

I recently installed these bases on my Ruger 44. They installed in the rifle just fine. I went to put a scope on and it would not clamp down securely. Initially I thought it might be the rings. I tried an older set of Weaver rings, same thing it would not tighten on to the bases. So the bases appear to be too narrow and obviously out of spec. Given hunting season is right on top of us I shimmed the rings and bases so I could sight the rifle in. In my view these things are junk!
