I have been looking for a .22 HP that would give good accuracy in my target rifles and pistols as well as provide a good small game load. The CCI 36gr. HP really does the job. It has provided excellent accuracy in my Winchester M-75 (3/8"@ 75 yds.)as well as my 10-22 Ruger and Winchester Legacy. But it also shoots the best in my K-22 S&W and Ruger MKIV. In a nutshell this is a moderately priced .22 LR that performs as well or better than much more expensive rimfire ammo I have used in the past. It also feeds and functions better than most in all of my action types.

This is my go to round ...

This is my go to round for small game and bench rest in my 10/22 accuracy build with a 20" .920 Green Mountain Barrel with a target chamber. Always sub 1/2" normally single ragged hole at 25 yrds. 50 same results. Clean "0" FTF and FTE in over 2000 rounds. I can't find a more accurate, reliable, clean round for this rifle.

The best all around .22 ...

The best all around .22 LR ever made. Shoots great in my CZ 452 and my Marlin 39. I would not hesitate to use on any game from rabbits to yotes in my neck of the woods.

This is the best ...

This is the best all-around hunting bullet in .22 cal that I have ever used. I own and have owned several .22 firearms and have never owned one that did not shoot this bullet with better than needed hunting accuracy. A bit destructive on squirrels if you take body shots inside 50 yards. With a rifle I have taken large raccoons, possums, fox and a bobcat with this round. It, like most .22 ammo is week in a revolver for game larger than a rabbit. (Go with stingers on larger game in a handgun) but it is great for rabbit and squirrel and snake defense.

This is my "go-to" ammo ...

This is my "go-to" ammo for all-around use. Some weapons shoot extremely well with Mini-Mag HPs, but what appeals to me is that everything seems to shoot it at least reasonably well. Therefore I can keep a lot of it around to use for just about everything. Mini-Mags offer plenty of power to cycle semi-autos and the bullet shape allows easy feeding. I've fired tens of thousands of rounds of this ammo, and although I'm sure I've had a misfire somewhere over the years, there's been so many thousands of flawless rounds since that I can't remember it. On the weird occasion that your weapon doesn't group well with this ammo, try Winchester Power Points, as it has been my experience that most weapons that don't shoot well with Mini-Mag HPs for some reason love Power Points instead. Mini-Mags get a big thumbs up and 5 stars.

I love this round. I shoot a Ruger 77/22 All Weather, and it's an awesome combo. Hits hard for a .22 LR and very accurate for a non match round. This is my go to combo for woods walking.

The CCI Mini Mags have never given me a problem in my 40 year old S&W Escort. I put over 2,000 rounds, yes, 2,000 rounds through it in 8 months, and never had a problem. It's all I will use.

Function perfectly in my Ciener 1911 conversion kit. Accuracy is not stellar with the kit, but good enough for plinking and target practice. Might be much better in a match grade platform.

I have used Mini-Mags in my Marlin Model 60 for years and have had no problems with feeding, reliability and accuracy. May cost a bit more than others, but it is worth every penny you spend.

The best .22 round on the ...

The best .22 round on the market. I've taken crows out to 125 yards with a Marlin Model 60, and enough squirrels to fill up a dump truck over the past 40 years. The HP is even more accurate than the solids in my guns, totally reliable, and shoot routine 1/2" groups at 50 in a good bolt action. Sure thing.
