The Kreb's Custom Enhanced Safety Selector incorporates an extended shelf that allows the shooter to maintain his/her hand position in a regular firing grip while positively manipulating the selector with the trigger or ring fingers. In addition, a notch is cut into the lever that allows for the bolt to be locked to the rear with the safety engaged. Manufactured in the US from 4130 and spring steels.

NOTE: Will NOT fit Yugoslavian AK variants.

The Krebs Enhanced Safety Lever was easy to install and makes it very easy to take the gun off safe without removing your firing hand from the pistol grip. The notch on the top side allows the bolt to be held open for cooling in between magazines. This function worked as advertised. I am very happy with this product!

I was lazy this time, and ...

I was lazy this time, and just wanted a safety selector premade, so I ordered this. Big complaint: the selector isn't exactly parallel receiver, so I'm going to have to do some bending because right now it's too tight to take off safe even with my palm let alone trigger finger. Small complaint: I have a bolt on Tromix charging handle that won't allow me to use the bolt hold open feature with this. I'm going to have to grind off a piece of this selector to make good. Overall it's well made, but you can do just as good with your original selector and a file for the bolt hold open.

Easy installation, strong, and does its job. The safety holds the bolt securely in place. I was untrusting at first, but now it feels like a very natural component of the rifle. The trigger finger safety isn't the easiest the manipulate, but the bolt latch is the real selling point. Great to aide in cleaning with a bore snake!

works great. definite advantage over stock safety lever. a must have if you shoot at a range that requires the action of your firearm be open during a cease fire.

I purchased this along with the Krebs Custom Aperture sight and I have to say, this is obviously a great improvement over the factory selector. I can manipulate this safety with my trigger finger without removing my hand from the grip. It is a gloss finish so it did not match the finish on the receiver of my WASR but a coat of flat black rustoleum matched it perfectly. MidwayUSA hasn't failed me yet on their speedy shipping either!

I know I'm the only one rating this a one star. There are other posts rating it 4 stars and up but I have to rate it just one star. This will not fit a polish ak 74 tantal. I worked with a dremel tool and a hand file for nearly an hour and was not able to get it to fit properly. I ended up cutting a notch in my stock one. This was just a $45 dollar waste of time for me. If you have a Polish Tantal, do not buy this, or if you are dead set in having it then get a Russian gun without a tapco g2 trigger. According to the other reviewers it just drops into those.

Very easy to manipulate with 1 finger and the bolt hold open feature is very handy. The only thing I don't like is that it fits a bit loose. I imagine they have to do that due to the varying tolerances of the many AK rifles, but it is still a bit annoying.

Hands down the best and most useful upgrade I've performed to my AK. I shoot at a range that requires the bolts be opened for inspection during breaks. I had to use a flag to show it wasn't loaded. Kept on losing it. Also, during tactical shooting, I don't have to reach over or under to engage the safety between station transitions. Easy to install and to engage with grip hand.

The item itself was well made and strong, but after attaching it to my SGL21 I noticed it had a very loose tension so the lever could move easily. After bending it slightly I was able to get it to be a more tight of a fit, but many times while testing it the safety lever would go past the bottom of the receiver.

Attention AK-74 owners: This WILL fit in a 74, but you'll need to do a little filing for a proper fit. Also a little tricky getting it installed...you may need to put in the safety before pinning your trigger/disconnector. But overall final result is a great product that improves the handling of any AK.
