Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Bullets are designed so that the bullet is completely encased in a hard metal jacket (except for the base), which is not intended to expand upon impact. FMJs are used primarily for target shooting and plinking. This is not loaded ammunition.

I like Remington Bullets. They generally shoot good, perform well on game and are less costly than the premium bullets. These 6.8 mm's mic out to .277" - average weight was 114.8 grs. They are a fmj boat tail. If you have a 6.8mm SPC they are an excellent fit. They shoot 1"-1 1/2" groups out of my Heavy barreled AR-15 good for target or varmint, I still like expanding bullets for bigger game, but I'm sure they would on Deer ok. I like 'em.

Grabbed a handful right out of the box and weighed each one. They ran from 114.5-117.3gr The tips on 7 of the 25 I grabbed had blunt noses. They look like factory seconds or rejects. They shoot ok for plinking but are not match grade by any means.

I bought 500 of these ...

I bought 500 of these back in 8/11 when they were on sale. I Just today cracked into the bag. What a disappointment. Out of 500 bullets 44 had malformed tips plainly visible with the naked eye. That's around a 9% reject rate. Time will tell if the "good" bullets shoot OK. I will not purchase in bulk again. I have purchased these in 100 bags before and gotten great bullets. I was very disappointed in this product.

I ordered this product to ...

I ordered this product to bulk load training and practice ammunition for the 6.8 SPC. I had an odd shaped load come out. I visually checked the remaining loads and found I had missed six others. I went through the bulk bag and found sixty-six deformed bullets. The body of the bullet went past the cannelure - by a significant amount. I weighed the deformed bullets; and determined they were one and a half grains heavy - 116.4 average. Given the increased weight and the ogive engaging the rifling a lot sooner, these could have caused a real pressure problem. I will be sending the deformed bullets back to Midway. It is not their problem in any way. I just want to let them know what I encountered. These were not advertised by Remington as factory seconds, and yet there was a 6.5% reject rate. This is unacceptable. Even factory seconds should only be blemishes, and should be safe to load. These might have created un-safe loads.If you purchase this product - sight check the bullets as you load them, and check again as you box them for storage.

Flyers,flyers, flyers. I bought these for plinking not expecting anything close to match performance, but 5-6 inch flyers at 40 yards was disappointing. These will be used for rapid fire exhibition only. I will not buy again. I have read in forums and reviews of Remington's less than desirable quality control and I have personally seen these so out of round that they look like they should be used for shooting around corners.

Once again Quality ...

Once again Quality control at Remington really not good out of 1000 I had 93 bullets that where miss shaped and 2 the where short and really deformed. I was also 6 bullets short from a full 1000 count. The only reason to keep getting these bullets is the cheap bulk price, if Hornady or sierra would sell bulk it would be nice.

Been loading these ...

Been loading these bullets in a RRA 16" for over 2 years. Found A1680 to give the best accuracy and pretty good velocity. No trouble with a red-dot sight to get 1"-1 1/4" groups @100 yds. Just bought another 2k and will buy more as I need them.

The quality control on ...

The quality control on these bullets is very poor. You find, maybe, one in 30 that is totally misshapen. Cannelure location varies widely. On the other hand they feed into a Stag Arms 6.8 AR-15 from a low quality C Products magazine that frequently chokes (left side feed) on Sierra 115 HP's.

I like the Remington FMJ ...

I like the Remington FMJ bullets. The accuracy is good and the price is great. What I don't like is Remington's quality control. When you roll the bullet I found about 25 out of 1000 where the tip was off center. You could see the tip wobble as it rolled. I don't like having to test every bullet to see if it is off center but I will probably continue to do it because of the price.

I have loaded over 500 of ...

I have loaded over 500 of these bullets and they have very poor Ogive, also the tips of the bullets are not the same. One may be more rounded than another, this make bullet seating at the same depth very hard and not consistent, even with Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater Die.

These are good general ...

These are good general Plinking bullets for the 6.8 SPC I am using a Model1 Sales 20" AR and with these bullets I get approx a 2 to 2.5" group with them, I know it's not the gun as I get much better groups with both Sierra Pro Hunter and 110gr Hornady V-Max the groups for those are both under 1" But for the price I bought a box of 500 of these awhile back and for general plinking they work just fine. They Load, and Feed without any issues at all, the cannelure is in the correct place when used with Rem Brass to allow crimping it in while being within OALFor the price, I'll buy more of themRemMax
