This product is nice to get for anyone - the paint has so many different applications on weapons, and there is enough that you can work trial and error on all your guns and sights. NOTE: Mike P probably didn't like it because he applied it incorrectly. You are supposed to mix the two paints together, not put the paint on the gun, let it dry, then add the ghost glow. The product will work better if you follow the instructions.

Since there are no other sight painting products I know of I purchased this kit. I was expecting more from this kit.1. Paint shows up bright on white paper but very dull on gun.2. Instructions are not clear at all on how to use "ghost glow" paints.3. I applied the paints let them dry then added "ghost glow" and the only thing it did was make the paint look duller than it already was.4. Applicator is basically a tooth pick. Following instructions to add more applications to broaden the 'dot' simply made a pyramid since the paint is so thick.5. Even though I cleaned the gun exactly to instructions prior to application one of the 'dots' of paint fell off to my surprise.I will say that it is better than 3 white dots or worn dots. A bit expensive though considering the end result.

A friend and fellow shooter has this set of paints and was applying the, for lack of a better color description, white paint. Following the instructions and when all was done and dry, it was ok, not something like a tritium type of glow but it was good for a few minutes. In comparison, I was able to get the same affect with our daughters, Halloween Glow-In-The-Dark nail polish we bought from Wal Mart.

I tried this product and could not get any result that was bright. I then tried some quality model car paint and it worked like a charm. Do yourself a favor and skip this product.

OK so here it goes , being a professional pays off when applying this product since no fiber or night sites for my model yet. 1 - clean the site with alcohol [2] - I used Japan drier for shiny surfaces to promote adhesion [3] - primed & [4]- applied then sealed with a matte/satin water based sealerThis is now a solvent resistant finish that isnt half bad ... I did all of this to see what it took to get this product to work the way it was intended so you wouldnt have to.

Dont buy! save your money. You can never achieve a bight sight--dull and duller with repeat applications. How in the world do they get away selling this junk. Use nail polish which is far better for durability.

I too have a negative opinion, as have others, and for the same reasons. Durable? No. The paint usually comes off at the range (once it actually fell off in transit to the club). Tried following the directions, even used primer, and once tried buffing the front iron sight, still fell off. Bright? No. It looks bright in the bottle, but repeated coatings (thick or thin, it doesnt matter) and its dull. Bottom line for others: save up for real a sight.

Product came w/no instructions for use of glow paint ratio to regular paint. I tested paint on plain white paper and glow was nonexistent in low/no light. Just use the plain paint. Better yet, use paint marker from regular craft store and save lots of $. Can't recommend it. Unsuitable for blade of any kind, but might work better for dots. But fiber optic sights are only $15 more...

After several attempts I managed to get the paint to lay down an even coat. I added a ghost glow dot to the center of the front sight as well. It sat for about a week before going to the range and shooting. I started cleaning my pistol and noticed that the paint on the front sight had peeled off in one corner just from the initial wipe down. It took nothing for me to peel the rest off with my finger nail. I had better results using car touch up paint for the front sight. The ghost glow dot does glow but not brightly enough that I would feel confident in a low light situation. I can't trust my life to this product and thus can't recommend it to others.

I found it rather hard to apply a uniform coating of the sight paint. Even though I mixed it thoroughly, I could not get the consistency I wanted. The end product was functional, but I can't say I was satisfied. I ended up stripping it off and buying some new sights.
