I have this scope on a Savage Model 10FP-SR, and I will say, you do need a 20 MOA base to get the very most from this scope. However for the price...you just simply can't beat this product. A first focal plane illuminated mil-dot reticle, mil/mil adjustments, and Bushnell's almost legendary quality! Now is it a 3000-4000 dollar scope? No but for the features again you simply can not beat this scope.

I own and use a 4.5-30x Elite Tactical and it possesses none of these problems. It is clear, repeatable and bright. The problem Anthony had has to be an isolated one and I'm sure Bushnell would be happy to address it. They have always provided me with wonderful customer service.

Let me preface this by saying that I own one USO SN-3 1.8-10x37, three Nightforce optics and a few Leupold Mark 4 optics. This one piqued my interest when I saw it on sale, noticing that it's a Mil/Mil FFP optic. I purchased one, figuring I could return it if I didn't like it. I didn't expect it to be at the level of my USO or NF optics since it's 1/3-1/4 the cost. Is it as good as USO or NF? No, it isn't. However, for a optic of this price with the features you get it simply cannot be beat by anything currently on the market. I'm not sure what ANTHONY B of Gilbert, AZ is referring to, but it sounds like he got a bad scope and I'm sure Bushnell will replace it or fix it. I liked mine so much, I purchased a second one before they ran out and do not regret it at all. The only real downside to this scope is the lack of travel. Throw it on a 20 MOA base and you should be okay out to 1K.

The chromatic aberration ...

The chromatic aberration on this scope makes it unusable at anything above 15x. I don't understand the positive reviews for optics like this. For those that haven't looked through quality glass, don't ever do it because you'll never be able to look through products like this and be satisfied. Although, I can't imagine this being a useful product for those who seriously shoot.

This is as good as you can get for this kind of money. I too used the EGW 20 MOA mount & sighted in at 600 yards on top of rem 40xb. This allows me to use mil-dots from100 to 900 yards without ever touching turrets. I use a Horus vision ballistics program and adjust this scope for different loads for first shot accuracy out to 800 yards so far. I don't need the lighted reticle but being ffp the mils are true at any power setting. I highly recommend.

I mounted this on an EGW 20 MOA base on my Savage .308. With a 100 yard zero I am able to dial to the necessary 10.2 MIL to reach 1000 yards. The MIL reticle with 1/10 MIL turrets is the only way to go. If you see impact, or splash, and you need a correction it is easy to do since your reticle and turrets match. I was considering saving for a Nightforce and after reading many reviews the Bushnell had every feature I was looking for except for zero stop. This is a serious rifleman's scope for a lower price.

The glass is clear and the adjustments are solid and repeatable. I would have given it 5 stars except I am a little disappointed in the amount of adjustment. Internal adjust is just barely over 12 MIL. To use this scope to its full potential, it will have to be mounted on a 20 MOA base minimum.
