This device is simply an 8 oz spring scale whose pointer moves a sliding marker that stays in place at the highest reading. Rubber sleeve on the "finger" that pulls the trigger. It is easy to use, easy to read, permanently calibrated (unless really abused), and batteries are not required.

I thought they were asking a lot for what you got. It is basically a graduated plastic tube with a spring and some connecting wires. I found that it was only reproduceable +/- 20% or so, making it difficult to tell the difference between a Glock with a 5 lb trigger vs. the 3.5 lb target trigger (however that could be due to the particular firearms). I also found that it was not accurate at weights less than 2 lbs, making it useless for adjusting target or set triggers.

Scale is not very ...

Scale is not very accurate below 2 lbs. It will give me readings that varies + or - up to 1# and will not repeat two readings in a row. The only thing that I can say is that this scale is good for is to show that it is no good to measure trigger pull. Also, the trigger pull hook is too short to accommodate most of my bolt guns.

While the price does appear a little expensive, if you have a few weapons or tune your own triggers, this tool is great. The readings are pretty repeatable and is easy to use. It is also nicely made and covers a useful range.

Works great above 3 pounds but was about 1/2 pound off on anything lighter than 3 pounds or so. Good product for the price range. It would be nice if the scale went a little higher for some heavy triggered military firearms.

Works great, easy to use ...

Works great, easy to use permanently calibrated. I used both the Lyman (digital) and the RCBS, I preferred the RCBS for its simplicity in design and user friendliness, and it does not need batteries. A must have if like to experiment with triggers.

Inexpensive trigger gage, but the unit I received lacked any markings or scale rendering the device useless as intended. Returned to Midway USA which gave me a full refund. The missing label may have been a mfg.'s oversight.
