As always with Nikon, I was very impressed with the clarity and brightness of this scope. Had a 2-7x32 Pro Staff on my last muzzleloader and this 3-9x40 on my Encore .50 cal. Can hardly tell the difference between some of the more expensive ones and for the price, I can afford to put top notch optics on nearly every gun gun I own. Sorry Bushnell, strike three!

I picked up this scope as a replacement for a broken scope. I was impressed with the light gathering ability. The scope is a great value at this price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality scope on a budget.

Outstanding scope!!! Put this on a T/C Omega in .45 cal. This scope is just as clear and as bright as my Leupolds. What I like about the ProStaff compared to similarly priced scopes from Leupold is that the Nikon gives you positive click adjustments as opposed to those friction adjustments.

Great scope for the money! I put it on my Remington 750 auto .243 and it is extremely accurate. It is just as clear as any Leupold VX 1,2 or 3. It holds zero excellent. A great buy!

I have two of these scopes, One on my beloved Custom ruger model 77 mkII in .270, the other on my utility remington model 750 in .308. Both have functioned flawless as yet, my utility rifle goes in the woods on my ATV, Tractor, wagon and truck, while cutting wood, Hunting, Farm Work, camping, 4wheeling, haying, Etc. and as yet has been smacked with branches, pounded by weather, slopped in mud, dropped, driven over by an atv and just plain works. I don't bother looking at another, and if it fails I will give another review on my return warranty experience! But for the $$$ I am pleased with the optics and ruggedness.

I put one of these Pro staffs on my TC pro hunter muzzle loader and I loved it, so I put one on my .223 barrel and it's perfect for popping varmints. I also have the 2-7x32 on my 870 and it holds up to the weather nicely. I'm currently putting one on my .300 win. mag.

This is an outstanding scope for the money. The clarity is distinctly superior to that of the cheap scope that came with my hunting rifle package. Holds zero while bumped and tossed while taken from range to hunting and back home to the safe.

I will not spend a lot of money for scopes. I have used Leupold Vari X-III, Burris Fullfield II, Weaker K series, Tasco, and lower end Bushnell products. I have mounted all types for friends. One brought me a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x 40. I could not believe what he payed for it. There are a lot of great features in this scope for the money. The edge to edge clarity at all magnifications, light transmission, tracking, appearance, finish, and warranty are outstanding for a cope in this price range and ranges above it. This will be my next scope.

I put this scope on my Marlin 981T .22lr and it just doesn't get any better. The Nikon is superior in every way to every other scope that I have ever owned. Brightness, function and fit/finish are superb and the accuracy with my .22 is consistently sub 2" at 100 yards, using Aguila HV ammo and the official 100 yard small bore rifle taget.
