The rim was out of spec on mine. It wasn't thick enough. This is a problem for people who intend on using these in guns with Glock-style actions where you must pull the slide back some every time you pull the trigger, because the extractor cannot get a firm grip on the rim.

I like these far better than the aluminum ones from A-Zoom. The plastic is more resilient than aluminum and doesn't get banged up as bad. They cycle through my Beretta 92FS just like live rounds.

Been using these snap ...

Been using these snap caps for two years in our shop with no problems. We use them for Safe Handling Demonstrations with pistols. Red color makes them stand out in the magazine. Being see through gives it a cool high tech look. No problems with the plastic breaking or cracking and we drop them all the time. The brass does get scratched up with use but have had no problems with extraction/ejection. Have bought these for personal use as well and have had no problems.

These are not nearly as ...

These are not nearly as durable as the all-metal snap caps out there. My brand new CZ75 chewed up two of five of these within a week and shattered the plastic, which is very brittle.

These feed wonderfully in my CZ 75B. The bright red color is a nice touch so I never, ever confuse a live round with a snap cap. Use these to dry fire and use 'em for your tap and rack drills.

These have held up well for me, in hundreds (thousands?) of firings. Yes, the "primer" shows wear: you would too with a steel pin slamming you day in and out. No issues with overall construction or feeding in my P226. Recommended.

I have used Tipton in the past and will continue to use them in the future. I have never experienced the deep indents. I do not believe in dry firing a weapon - to me it is a "Oops" thing and very rare - but the few times that it does happen - these are the best. I also find that in cycling a round that these work fine, no jams or anything. We have Beretta's, S&W's and Glock's.

Great little caps for dry firing. I like their convenience, and the red color is great for safety, separating these from all other shells. They take some damage from where the "primer" would be, so I don't know if these are actually preventing any gun damage, but seem to be worth the cheap price to me.

Tipton snap caps are by far the best in the business, and the 9mm caliber caps are no exception. Unfortunately, the overall bullet length isn't quite long enough. When doing a chamber check the bullet tends to slip free of the extractor. On a couple of occasions I have had the cap get stuck between the ejector and side of the ejection port during the ejection process. Take care in removal if this happens. So in all I give this product four stars, it works great but has some oddities.

Overall they are great, but the primer gets a deep indentation after what I feel is a very few hits. I thought that was what the spring was for - to absorb the blow. The primers should be made out of a harder material.
