In so many ways, this is a step backwards from their previous trigger. It's adjustable, yes, but there's so much more to it than just the trigger....the mainspring in the bolt also comes into play.This trigger has terrible creep, and a very heavy pull (I never got mine under 4.5 lbs), but the break is nice and clean. For the money spent, I would get ANY other aftermarket trigger.

Spend the extra money and ...

Spend the extra money and buy a Timney. IMO, Timney is the best trigger for a reasonable amount of money spent. Not a whole lot more than the X-Mark in cost. The X-Mark Pro Trigger is terrible. Compare it to a Timney. The X-Mark feels cheap. I had an X-Mark on a 700 PSS that started life as a .308 and was converted to .260. The trigger pull was inconsistent. This was verified through the RCBS trigger pull gauge. For example, one shot would break at say, 2.5 lbs, the other at say 3.0 lbs. This I found annoying due to it being unpredicatble. BTW, I ensured the angle of the pull gauge and the placement of the strain gauge were consistent during the tests. I tried to remain as unbiased when I tested the thing as I could. The Timney is perfectly consistent every time. Shooting well is consistency. BUY a TIMNEY. Thank you.

I found this trigger assy ...

I found this trigger assy to be very easy to put in rifle. Only shot at range, breaks nice and crisp. With one allenhead screw you can set pounds of pull to your own liking. Thanks Midway, good product.
