Product Information

This polycarbonate, glass-filled stock is injection molded at pressures up to 20,000 psi and ultra-high temperatures to exact tolerances. The composition of this stock not only makes it lightweight but also impervious to weather conditions. Features a 14" length of pull and is designed to accept a standard factory contour barrel.

I used this stock to ...

I used this stock to complete a Garand parts kit that I recently attached to an HRA receiver. The stock went on easy, the trigger group snapped in tight, and the weapon performed outstanding! I put my last four shots of an eight shot group in 1-1/4", benchrest with open sights, at 200yds (the rest were all in the black - total group under 4"). . . unbelievable! The receiver is NRA fine and the barrel is NRA good. I had people stopping by to ADMIRE the rifle . . . go figure! Obviously the stock did not detract from the rifle's performance. No regrets!

Although light the stock seems strong enough.The stock would not fit on my M1 without a lot of work. The fit of the stock to the stock ferrule was such that the stock could not be mounted to the lower band. The butt plate area of the stock was 1/8 larger in some places where the recoil pad mounted.I can not recomend this product. I must have got a bad one.

Disappointed with Midway

The stock is nice...bought it so my nice wood stock would stop getting beat up in the safe. I gave it 4 stars not because of the stock but for Midways negligence in shipping. It was wrapped so poorly it slid out of the paper wrapping and rubbed against each other during shipment causing scratches and scuff marks! This is not the first time Midway has let me down on poor packaging. Other than that I'm happy with the stock.

I bought this stock based on all the positive reviews listed here. I was not disappointed! Once I gathered the right tools and I removed the metal parts from the original stock, things went together with no difficulties and absolutely no trimming or filing needed. I also found no alignment problems whatsoever with the screws for attaching the butt pad as others mentioned they had. I just fired my M1 this past week and what a huge difference the rubberized butt pad makes! Very comfortable to shoot now and I felt like I could have shot all afternoon. Very glad I bought this stock.

Put it together last ...

Put it together last night. I thought this would be a quick 30 minute job but found out that the front hand guard is too long and I will have to cut it down to size. The stock itself is not trimmed correctly and I will have to whittle on it a while to give my operating rod enough room to move. It does look good and your M1 will be lighter. But its not a drop it in and go shooting piece. If you buy this you will need a good sharp knife and a dremmel tool to get it working right.

Just ordered my M1 Ram-Line stock, received it two days later, outstanding shipping time. Stock fit just as the surveys said it would. It is a tighter fit, great looking stock. The only problem I had was the upper rear guard clip, I purchased a new one so was easier than removing the old. A little bending of the tabs and I was able to get it on the rifle. I cycled the bolt a couple of times and no binding of the operating rod. Stock was on sale, great buy, great stock, would recommend it and Midway.

As others have stated, a little lighter, a little nose heavy, but overall an excellent stock. No fitting problems or modifications required - and I don't get my beautiful DCM stock dented up traveling and shooting at the range!

This stock fit easily onto my CMP M1, and looks great on the rifle. However, the fit was too loose around the receiver where the op rod cycles, causing the rod to slide out of position and the rifle not to function properly.

Good fit right out of the box and really looks great. If you're going to hunt, the rifle is noticeably lighter. If you're going to the range, it kicks more, but the recoil pad helps. No place in the stock for my M1 tool and it made the rifle barrel heavy - I shot low but will probably get used to it or add some weight to the rear of the stock. I think overall it was a great bargain.

Everything went together ...

Everything went together on the first try without any problems at all. Action fit to the stock was a perfect tight slip fit and the trigger housing pulled everything together nice and tight. There are no loose pieces and no fitting was needed. The rubber recoil pad does an exellent job and the rifle feels lighter and handier. Exellent product.

Bought this item for a post-WWII H&R I recently acquired and it really looks good on the old M1. I had to do some minor filing but nothing extreme. The op-rod was rubbing on and hanging up along the upper right side of the receiver well, after filing it was running smooth. There was also a casting nipple, left over from the molding process, up on the front of the main stock that got filed off so the stock would fit into the stock ferrule swivel. My original stock ferrule swivel doesn't tighten down on the front of the main stock but with the rifle fully assembled it's a non-issue. Everything else went together without a hitch. This stock kit also sounds like it tightened up the old rifle because I don't hear loose rattling sounds like I did with the wood stocks on it. I did the entire take-down, filing and re-assembly with just a Leatherman.
