Federal Firearms License
- Federal Firearms License: (FFL or C&R) Please fax or mail a current, signed in ink copy of your FFL to MidwayUSA.
- Expiration: Dealer accounts have an Expiration Date. For FFL’s, we use the Expiration Date as issued by the BATFE. As a reminder, we will send you an email on or about 30 days before your Dealer document is set to expire. When your FFL expires, your account will be changed to Retail status and we will need a new FFL from you to re-establish your Dealer credentials.

State Issued Tax Resale Certificate
- State issued Tax Resale Certificate: This Certificate must be issued by the State Government for a business whose business name is clearly related to Shooting, Reloading or Gunsmithing industry.
- Missouri Dealers: We must have a copy of your Missouri Sales/Use Tax Exemption Certificate Form DOR 149 on file with us or we are required by the Missouri Department of Revenue to collect the Missouri State Sales Tax at the rate effective at the time the order is processed. We cannot refund sales tax collected on sales prior to receiving the signed Exemption Certificate.

- Expiration: Once we have established your credentials as a degreed gunsmith, we may review your account status every three years.

Government, Military, Police and Institutional
MidwayUSA supports Government, Military, Police and Institutional Departments, Agencies and Units by offering GMPI status. Customers with the GMPI designation receive “Dealer pricing” on products purchased from MidwayUSA.
- GMPI status is offered to:
- All U.S. Federal Departments/Agencies. Examples: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Department of the Treasury, Department of Commerce, Department Of State, Department of Homeland Security, etc./li>
- All U.S. State, County, Regional and Local Government Departments/Agencies Examples: City, Town, Municipal, Township and Village.
- All U.S. State, County, City, Town, Municipal, Township and Village Law Enforcement Departments/Agencies and Medical Examiners (Coroners). This also includes College Police Departments, Prison/Jails and Indian Agency Police Departments.
- All Branches of the United States Military, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard both Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard.
- Institutions in the United States such as Schools, Colleges, Universities, Trade or Technical Schools and High Schools.
- To open a GMPI customer account, we require documentation on official letterhead, purchase order or requisition form so we may confirm your status. Please provide us with a list of personnel authorized to use this account.
- Expiration: Government, Military and Police accounts do not expire.

Gunsmithing School Student Program
MidwayUSA supports Gunsmithing Students enrolled in a recognized Gunsmithing School Program by offering GMPI status. See the list of recognized programs below.
Gunsmithing Students with the GMPI designation receive “dealer pricing” on products purchased from MidwayUSA.
- Gunsmithing Student Qualifications:
- To qualify, we require a copy of a current Gunsmithing School schedule or letter from a Gunsmithing School acknowledging present enrollment. Many Gunsmithing Schools provide MidwayUSA a list of new students at the beginning of each semester or school year. Ask your Instructor or Dean for details.

- Expiration: Gunsmithing School Students will be set up with GMPI status for an initial period of three years. Should gunsmithing studies require additional time, please mail or fax a new student schedule. We will extend GMPI status for additional one-year periods.

If you do not meet Qualifications 1-6
If you have reviewed Dealer Qualifications 1-6 and do not meet those requirements you may still be able to qualify.
The Number One reason persons or companies do not qualify for Dealer status is because we cannot clearly determine what type of business a person or company is in. We often receive a State Sales Tax Certificate or a Business/Merchants License for a person or company such as:
John Smith
123 Main Street
Columbia, MO 12345
Other examples are: William Consultations, Roberts Industries, Smith Enterprises, Bob’s Place, Joe’s Security or Martin Inc. While these are valid business names, MidwayUSA cannot clearly determine what type of a business the person or company is in.
In order for you to qualify for Dealer status we will require one of the following:
- Exception One:
- We will require a Yellow Pages Ad clearly showing us you are in the Shooting, Reloading or Gunsmithing Business along with your State Sales Tax Certificate or Business/Merchants License.
- Exception Two:
- If you rent tables or space at gun shows to sell our products, please send us a minimum of two receipts from gun shows dated within the last six months along with your State Sale Tax Certificate or Business/Merchants License.
- Expiration: With a State Sales Tax Certificate or Business/Merchants License and either a Yellow Pages ad or two gun show receipts we will grant Dealer status for three years.
Note One: Simply being a business does not qualify a business entity for Dealer status. MidwayUSA’s Dealer Program is reserved for those businesses in the Shooting, Reloading or Gunsmithing industry demonstrating an intent and ability to buy and resell our products or as a practicing gunsmith use our gunsmithing products.
Note Two: We will not grant Dealer status to web-based Dealers or any persons or company which intends to export products purchased from MidwayUSA.
No other documents will be accepted.
