Hodgdon Powder offers the largest selection of quality smokeless propellants for any reloading application.

Hodgdon Benchmark,as the name implies, this Extreme Extruded propellant was developed for precision cartridges. As such, it is ideally suited for benchrest and small varmint cartridges like the 6mm PPC, 22 PPC, 6mm BR, 223 Rem. and 222 Rem. Additionally, it performs superbly in the 204 Ruger and with light match bullets in 308 Winchester. With small, easy metering granules, competitors will love how it flows through progressive presses.

Warning About Smokeless Powder:

Do not exceed the loads displayed in the reloaders guide.

Never mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source.

Never substitute any smokeless powder for Black Powder or any Black Powder substitute.

This is an outstanding powder for my AK47. Shooting 1.5 inch groups out of a saiga 308 with 16" barrel using 42 gr. benchmark with 147 gr winchester fmj.

This powder and Sierra 150gn fn bullet makes my old 30-30 really a fun rifle to shoot. Using a tang sight Im able to hold a 2.5 inch group @100yrds.Great Powder

Haven't used many other ...

Haven't used many other powders for my .223 but after loading with benchmark I have no reason to look any further. Powder produced one hole groups at 100 yards. The one thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't meter very well through my RCBS uniflow meter. The charge weight is constant, but it cuts the sticks in half sometimes resulting in a jerky throw. Once you get past that it is a great powder, just wish it was ball instead of stick.

If you own a .204 Ruger, ...

If you own a .204 Ruger, try this powder! I have tried a wide variety of powders for this round and this one is the best. I put Benchmark over a CCI BR4 primer with a 32 grain Sierra Blitzking projectile and get outstanding results. Usually produces clover-leaf 5 shot groups at 100 yds out of a Remington 700 SPS varmint. I'm sure it will be a winner in any of your smaller varmint rounds.

This is powder is awesome ...

This is powder is awesome in my 17 Fireball. I have shot .25" 5 shot groups at 100yds with loads of Benchmark and 25gr C.E. Nangel bullets @ 3995fps with ZERO pressure signs. Great powder, will buy very much more of this. Adam

I've tried this powder as ...

I've tried this powder as well as H335, Ramshot X-terminator and A2230. So far its definitely the most accurate powder I've used. Benchmark gave me a .72" group at 100 yards behind a 55gr Moly Coated VMAX bullet. It was shot from a 20" Delton HBAR upper using a 3x scope. I definitely recommend this powder!

Incredible Accuracy- ...

Incredible Accuracy- produces one ragged hole 5 shot groups at 100 yards from my 6.8mm SPC (18" 1 in 11 Cardinal Armory AR upper) with handloaded Barnes 120gr banded solid. Gives sub-moa .300 win mag loads with Nosler 168gr OTM and Remington 710. Very clean burning also. AWESOME

I use Benchmark in my 204 ...

I use Benchmark in my 204 loads for target and for hunting. I am getting 3 shot groups as small as .107 at 200 yards with this powder in front of magnum primers. My 100 yard target is a 3/4" square with a 1/2" circle and this powder will put 5 shots within the 1/2" circle with great consistancy. I will reorder this powder for these loads.
