Product Information

Triple Seven pellets are formed charges of Triple Seven powder. They are totally sulfur free so there is no bad smell and they leave behind less residue to simplify cleaning. With pellets, there is no need for powder measures or flasks and you won't ever have to worry about messy powder spills again.

Do not exceed the loads displayed in the reloaders guide.

Never mix any two powders regardless of type, brand, or source.

Never substitute any smokeless powder for Black Powder or any Black Powder substitute.

I have a cheaper Wolf CVA ML 50 cal and tried to use loose pack without success. I bought a box of these and didn't like them at first, but found my scope was horrible. Once I replaced my scope, I found using 2 pellets (100gn) a generic 230gn 45ACP bullet and 50cal sabot, I can print 1" or better groups at 100 yards. I found this by trying to find a cheaper, more efficient way to shoot. I didn't want to pay .75 per shot in just the bullet alone, so I used a pistol bullet that cost me less than .10 and it has better accuracy than most of the expensive bullets out there. I will say that they are a little messy than loose pack in my experiences, but they make it much much faster to load, and they are very consistant. One bad thing I'm not big on is that there are 2 pellets per slot in the box, and you have to tip the whole box over to get them out if you have removed the top pellet. I would love to see an option for 50gn pellets, or 100gn whole pellets. I absolutely love these, and will continue to buy them as long as I can.

Until I ordered & received this product, I did not realize that it is only intended for use with in-line muzzleloaders with 209 primer ignition. I wish that information had been included in the product information. I fire a T-C .50 Hawken using #11 caps and was looking for an alternative to measuring loose black powder or its substitutes. I just received the 50/50 pellets, and they look phenomenal. It's a shame that I cannot use them until I acquire an in-line BP barrel for my T-C Contender.

I use Triple-7 with a saboted 300 gr. Hornady XTP bullet and get sub 1" groups from my Savage 110ML. The best I could get using Jim Shockey's Gold was 5" groups. The Triple-7 is very consistent and I'll use nothing else. Easy to clean up with soapy water!

Really all I use in my Omega Z 5 Thompson .50 cal muzzle loader. Find that two 50 gr pellets get the job done. My sabot is filled with a Hornady 250 gr SST/ML round. With 2" groups at the hundred. A good stopping power round is also a .45 cal 230 gr Gold Dot Speer hollow Point in a mag Sabot. Nothing I have hit with this combo makes more than two steps before dropping. If I am hunting in heavy woods. I use the Gold Dot bullet with two triple 777's in my .50 cal Muzzle loader. Lethal combo that's cheaper to shoot and very effective.
