Hodgdon HYBRID 100V is the result of combining the technologies of spherical powders and extruded propellants. The chemistry of a spherical powder is combined with the geometry of an extruded propellant, creating a smooth-metering, super short granule extruded shaped propellant with high energy. HYBRID 100V has a burn speed between H4350 and H4831, yeilding superb performance in such popular calibers as 270 Winchester, 243 Winchester Super Short Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum, 300 Winchester Magnum and dozens more.

This powder has a ...

This powder has a permanent place on my Bench. Works in a strangely large variety of cartridges well. My best to date is with .243 Winchester 80-90g bullets of three different brands! Works for 270 win and WSM. 300 win mag (light bullets), list goes on. Bolt action and semi autos too. This is a hunter's all season powder.

What's not to like about ...

What's not to like about this beast of a powder. I've reloaded my .243 with it on the heavier bullets, I've also loaded my 7mm Rem Mag and my .338 Winchester Mag with it. It meters well and I get consistent accuracy and consistent speeds. The powder meters well, I'm confident that this is one of the reasons that I have consistent velocities out of the powder. I set my powder meter and double check every dozen rounds or so and the powder quantity is spot on every time, even with my, not so smooth, arm charge.My rifles are Browning X-bolts. I didn't have the accuracy that I wanted at first but then started seating the bullets just off of the lands and all three honed in to a decent zero.No complaints of the powder.

Using in 6.5-284 Norma - ...

Using in 6.5-284 Norma - Savage 111 Long Range Hunter, 6x-24x Burris Black Diamond Scope. Nosler Cases, Fed 210M Primers. Developing Load for Deer and Elk Hunts - 140 gr Nosler Partitions. Rifle and Bullet love this powder. Smallest group average .445 in at 100 yds. Next test will check velocity. Potential to shoot tighter groups. Plan to Use in 6.5 Creedmoor and 30-06. For those folks shooting the 140 Berger VLD needs more testing.

This has become my go-to ...

This has become my go-to powder in the 243. Accuracy is as good as any other powder I've worked with, but velocity easily exceeds every other powder I've tried in the 243. Velocity in a 22" gun using Hodgdon's data with 100 grain Hornadys runs 3125 f/s, and the same load in a 16" gun runs 2900 f/s. No pressure issues or excursions. Consistent powder that does well across a wide range of ambient temps. 4 stars instead of 5 because the powder doesn't quite flow thru the RCBS Uniflow measure as well as other similar size and shape powders and is a little sticky. The powder looks almost like a ball powder, but is a super short stick powder.

Excellent powder, easy to ...

Excellent powder, easy to work with. Have used with 7mm Rem. Mag and 30-06 to 300 yards so far. Much improved accuracy, clean burning. Easy rifle clean up at the end of the day. Plan on using with .243 next. A very versatile powder, for the shooter that shoots multiple calibers.

Loads were right on ...

Loads were right on Hodgdon's reloading data in my .257 Bob, close to 3100 without excessive pressure signs and 100 gr. Barnes TSX (must use no lead in the people's Republic of CA.) 4 stars because it was a little sticky in my powder measure. I'll use a drier anti-cling cloth and see if that helps. As is was, it took a couple of taps to empty the drum, but it was accurate.

Hybrid 100V is an ...

Hybrid 100V is an outstanding powder that 6XC and 6.5-284 shooters should try before selecting a final load. Burn rate seems to be between H4350 and RE 19. I replaced H 4350 in the XC. It meters exceptionally well. I weigh almost everything I load but haven't found a great deal of difference with this powder. Thrown charges shot very well at 1000 yds and I was able to make repeated hits at 2100 yds; although that load was a little hot for the brass. Got some decent loads in a 338 w/ Win Mag but haven't chronographed them yet. I'll try it in my 338 RUM and 416 Rigby next. Could be a nice 243 powder.

I bought this powder to ...

I bought this powder to use in my 270 win. It flows through powder dispensers very well. It produced great accuracy with Nosler 130, and 140 grain ballistic tips, 3 shot group in 1" at 100 yards. Will get more. Great powder!

Excellent powder, used in ...

Excellent powder, used in a .243 Speer 100 bullet, I reduced the load from what is listed for this powder. grouped 3 shots one-half inch at 100 yards. Load was used on Eastern NC whitetail, the terminal performance was outstanding at 100 yds.

Finally got some large ...

Finally got some large rifle primers and decided to try this powder in my Ruger M77 in .243 Win cal. I loaded up 20 Norma cases with 100 gr Hornady BTSP using Hodgdon loading data. This rifle is an early model M77 and is the pickiest rifle I own as far a reloading goes because of a lot of free bore so I was surprised when it really loved this load. Shot less than 1 MOA, velocity surpassed that noted in the data (used a Beta Master Chrony w/printer) by 60fps w/no signs of excessive pressure. I initially bought this powder for my 7MM RM & 300 WSM and look forward to working up some loads for them if I can get any LRM primers. Gave it four stars because of limited experience with this powder but I have high hopes.
