This works as intended. I use it on a T-Mag II press. I found you have to make sure the primer tube seats firmly in the body or the primers will spill out when the pin is pulled. Second I found that the priming arm needs to come about half the primer retaining pin for it to work perfect any more or less and it doesn't feed primers that well. When it is set up as described it works well. I am satisfied. I use it with my 338mx dies and brass.

The tubes will not hold 100 primers, but, after filling the tubes, pulling the pin just causes the primers to fall through. The stop pin even when adjusted to full tension will not stop the primers from falling out. To bad they don't design their presses to use the priming system from RCBS. I never had a problem priming on there press. As a tool maker, I will adapt the RCBS to the T-Mag.

Used this with my T-Mag ...

Used this with my T-Mag II press, and has been working great. You need to make sure it is set up to where the priming arm just starts to swing freely from the feeder, otherwise it will snag the little clips and spill out some primers. I would give it 5 stars, but it the last 3-4 primers in the feeder sometimes takes a couple of taps with the priming arm to release a primer. This has happened with small rifle primers. I haven't tried large primers yet.

The old Lyman ...

The old Lyman "Instruction Guide for Lyman Reloading and Bullet Casting Products" (02/11 edition) is not very thorough or well worded. The instructions that come with the Auto Primer Feed differ slightly from the set offered in the on-line version. There are several things that can cause problems, but once they are adjusted properly and seated into place, the unit works fine: 1) primer feed body location adjustment, 2) proper seating of the proper size primer tube, 3) the primer cut-off pin (punch stop) and its set screw; and make sure you use the proper size primer punch/sleeve. The main problem (after only about 200 rounds of .40 S&W) I experienced was with the set screw on the primer arm backing out and the primer punch, sleeve and spring flying out. The aluminum bodies used in the manufacture of the Primer Arm and the Auto Primer Feed Body should be made out of something more durable because screw threads in these units will wear out prematurely. Otherwise the Lyman priming system is a good system once set up properly.

Am disappointed with this ...

Am disappointed with this tool. My first Lyman auto feed was for a Spartan press purchased in 1970. My second auto feed was for a Lyman Crusher II press kit purchased in 2009. The quality of the new Lyman feeder was a lot less compared to the first one. The new one set up ok, the primers stayed in place as they should, disappoint came after about 1500 primers later the set screws came out on the primer arm and tube mount primer stop and both springs were lost. I replaced the set screws with slotted head screws and lock nuts, and put some super glue on the brass where it fits inside the aluminum housing. Works fine now. Seems like a lot of trouble to get a new accessory to work. The 70's stuff is still thumping along. Its as if these two units came from 2 different planets. I think I'll try RCBS on my next feeder, the primer plungers (large and small) thread in and dont use set screws.

Primer seater needs line ...

Primer seater needs line up with the holder. Also primer seater needs to line up at the very top of pin that holds primers or else they will fly all over. Sometimes shell does not line up in shell holder and shell needs to be at the back of holder. Also the primer pin may come loose and needs to be tightened down. Needs to be a steady smooth motion, not a jerky fast motion. And slow enough that you can feel if the primer lines up. Just primed about 400 shells only problem I had was, the shell seater got loose once. I like to seat the primer and expand the shell in one process.

I just received and ...

I just received and attempted to install this kit on my new crusher 2 (ordered from midway as well). I am having the same problem that everyone else seems to be having with the primers falling out. It would seem to me that from an engineering perspective that the retaining pin is too short. I too had a few attempts (and a few hundred) primers fall out. I had read the reviews and was ready for that, so no losses for me. Midway has a great return policy, so mine will be going back for a refund. I will have to look into making a RCBS unit fit, didnt think of that one.

Mostly works OK so far, ...

Mostly works OK so far, but has a major flaw.I've only run about 100 large rifle primers through it so far, and had a couple instances where the primer stop pin failed to return to the 'out' position (it was stuck back in the hole), and all the primers came pouring out of the tube. I took it apart thinking maybe I had to lube the pin or de-burr the pin or housing...but even after cleaning and lubing it, it still gets stuck once in a while, and won't hold the primers from falling out. I purchased a hand priming tool, and will only use the bench-mounted one as a backup.

I just got my Expert ...

I just got my Expert Deluxe TMag 2 kit and after adjusting everything you can adjust, and checking, rechecking, calling Lyman... the primers just fall out. One reviewer said the tube acceptor needs to be machined to allow a greater seat depth, but if mine was machined any further, it would have no seat at all. So that isn't the problem with mine. It looks to me (from an engineering perspective) that the spring loaded primer retaining pin, center was machined way too far away from the mouth of the primer fall out area. This allows the primer to tumble forward, thus tumbling OVER the primer retaining pin and on the floor, bench or where-ever. I am wracking my brain trying to think of a way to use this as it (conceptually) is great.

I am on my 3rd auto ...

I am on my 3rd auto primer feed and as another gentlemen stated the primers just fall out of the bottom of the assembly when you pull the cotter pin. The problem is the tubes dont seat far enough into the feed assembly and need to be machined out so that the assembly will retain the primers, lucky I have a machine shop at my place of work.

I used the feeder on a Lyman Crusher 2 and had a perfect run priming and case forming to 375X444 from 444 Marlin. Works GREAT. As easy to install and adjust as my RCBS.
