These grips give a great ...

These grips give a great confident feel to handling my p220 carry elite. They were challenging to install (oops, I put the right side on first), but once on, the fit is tight and looks good. I did have to prod it a bit to get the grip screws to line up without fearing stripping them, but not unreasonably difficult. I could see how the screws might extend too far into the mag slot if you forget to use the lock washers when installing the grip screws. They don't look as fancy as the wood grips, but the quality is on par and the function is better. It makes it look like a more serious weapon.

The problem I had with ...

The problem I had with these grips is that there is too much material on the backstrap. Both panels are molded with a little "extra" so that you really have to force them onto the gun. Felt great shooting them one session, but I was just not comfortable putting that much pressure on the grip screws and removed them. Tried to slowly remove material off the backstrap to get a better fit and found it difficult due to the weird angle. Bought another pair hoping for "luck of the draw" and a better mold/fit. Same thing. Gave up on them.

Fit nicely and provides ...

Fit nicely and provides much more control than factory grips. Read instructions before installing, as the left panel goes on first, and there is a small spacer or shim on the right panel that either needs to be left in place, or removed, depending on the generation of the pistol. Be careful with the original factory lock-washers, as they tend to wander when you remove the grip screws.

Upon installing these ...

Upon installing these grips, I noticed that the magazine did not slide into the well. Come to find out, the OEM screws are a bit too long when using these panels. After installed for a number of weeks, then removing them, I see that the rubber started to dissolve, leaving traces of it on the frame which I had to scrape off with a fingernail. These grips are ready for the trash can. Do yourself a favor, save your money.

Normally I find Hogue ...

Normally I find Hogue grips to be top notch, so maybe this pair is the exception that proves the rule. The fit at the blackstrap was extremely sloppy, plus the screw holes on the right side were so far out of alignment that I was afraid to tighten them for fear of stripping the threads on the gun itself.
