These barrel blanks are made from premium quality 4140 Chrome Moly Steel then precision-reamed, button rifled, stress relieved and air gauged to + or - .0002". Furnished "in the white" these blanks will require threading to the action of your choice, crowning, chambering and finishing by a qualified gunsmith. The proper break-in procedure requires cleaning after each shot for the first five shots. Then cleaning after every five shots for the next 50 shots. This particular barrel has 8 lands and grooves.

I wanted a 26" tube for ...

I wanted a 26" tube for my 25-06 Remington 700, that wouldn't group inside of 2 inches with the factory tube at any distance. Purchased the barrel and sent it and the action (Rem 700 pre 80s) to Jerry at Clio Gun shop in Alabama. I had the action blue printed and this barrel chambered to 25-06 AI. Got the gun back and fumed blued the barrel and put the whole thing back into a tired old stock from another project. After 15 rounds, I fired the next 5 for group and they went into 3/4 of an inch at 100 yards. Impressive to say the least, being that these were fire form loads that were just whipped together.

This is the sixth barrel ...

This is the sixth barrel of this type that I have purchased and have been very satisfied with all of them. This barrel was fitted to a 98 Mauser and chambered in 25-06. I wanted a little extra barrel length and opted for this barrel instead of the pre threaded and short chambered barrel. The finished rifle dropped right into a Hogue OverMolded Stock and has been consistently shooting 100gr Nosler Ballistic tips at less than a half inch at 100 yards.

Every time I buy one of ...

Every time I buy one of these barrels I figure I will use it on a project where I dont really care about how accurate it will turn out and every one I have built turns out to be a real shooter. This one was no exception. I had a 257 Ackley built on a Ruger 77 action and this rifle is awesome! Shoots 1/2 inch groups at 100 yds with a 117 Sierra bullet. Sometimes I wonder why I keep spending big bucks on Douglas and Shilen barrels. Buy these barrels with the "I dont care" attitude like I did and you may be surprised! So far I have used these barrels in a 9x57, 257 Ackly, 338/06, and two 6.5 Rem Mags. All shoot as good as expensive barrels.

I put this BBL on a ...

I put this BBL on a mauser action and chambered it for a .257 Roberts for my nephew who is not old enough to hunt yet! I haven't shot 40 rnds through it yet and it is producing 3/4" groups. Awsome! From what I read from others who have these BBL's, they most all say that they need to be broke in... I may not give it to him if that group gets any better!

A winner in my book. A ...

A winner in my book. A rebarrel on my Ruger 243 to a 250 Savage Ackley imp. 26 in length. I get half inch moa with sierra 100 gr. at 3200 fps! Impressive for a short number!
