Product Information

Rainier offers a large selection of swaged lead core copper plated bullets that are low in cost but substantially high in accuracy. Rainier swages their bullets twice with lead wire in an effort to ensure the tightest uniformity as well as prevention of premature wearing of barrels. While Rainier doesn't publish their own reloading information, they recommended using lead bullet load data when loading their bullets as well as a slight taper crimp. Rainier recommends a maximum velocity of 1,500 fps.

These bullets feature a lead core that is completely covered by copper plating. They are resized after being plated with approximately 0.004" of copper plating. This unique design makes them suitable for most indoor ranges, which often require the use of bullets with no exposed lead. The base is slightly concave to maximize the bullet to bore seal.

I recently started reloading with a Dillon 650b and was in need of some economical bullets for my .40. The price of Rainiers seemed great so I ordered them. Since then I have easily loaded them with either Unique or HP-38 with great results. The accuracy is outstanding and the bullet weight consistent. This combined with the price makes the Rainiers my bullet of choice. Have also loaded them in 9mm and .380 with similar results. My Sig Sauer absolutely loves this bullet. I have yet to have one fail to feed!

I am almost through my second 1000 of these and have had zero feed problems or other issues using them in my XDSC.They are inexpensive, accurate and punch clean holes in the targets.

Searched every site I could find, looking for the cheapest, "decent quality" jacketed bullet to re-load. Ranier had the balance of price and high ratings. I was not disappointed. Shot these through two different .40 cal semi-autos, and both performed very well. 2" groups off-hand were routine (and I am one who is certainly more of a "lead slinger" than a "marksman" haha). Good product. Use them in 9mm, 45, as well.

I shoot in USPSA pistol matches and I have found these bullets to be the most accurate loads out of my pistol. I shoot major power factor and these are the bullets that I keep coming back to time after time. I have shot thousands of these rounds and am very pleased with the results.

5 stars because of price. The only other bullets for this price are lead, and those have a tendency to stick in semi auto chambers. I love lead in my wheel guns, but my S&W M&Pc gets copper. That said, these bullets are perfect for plinking at the range, but aren't intended for whatever heroic feats some of the other reviewers apparently expect of them. They're not going to group into 1/4" at 25 yards, and they're not going to break any speed records. They will however let you pull the trigger at the range 500 times on the cheap and give sufficient accuracy to provide feedback on your marksmanship and load.

Great bullets at a great price. I had to seat these bullets a little deeper than other JHP bullets. For 10mm suggested COL is 1.260 but I had to decrease it to 1.247 to keep the bullets from hitting the lands. Had to do the same for .40S&W--I had feeding problems until I shortened the COL.

I trimmed the cases to 0.840 no less than 0.838. Set the Lee Bullet Seating Die for 1.130 OAL. I found these bullets going from +4/-5 OAL. Out of the box of 100, I would say about 70% were +2/-2 OAL. 977 FPS using CCI Small Pistol Primers and Unique powder. I really like these better than the 180 Grain Plated Round Nose Flat Point. Feels smoother in the Lee Bullet Seating Die. Can't wait to shoot them at the Range.

I've been using lead cast bullets for a while and recently tried some of these out. For a minimal increase in cost you get a significant return in performance. I will be ordering more of these bullet very soon.

Rainier plated bullets are the best economical bullets on the market. I use Rainiers to load 9mm, 40S&W, and 45ACP. In the past I used FMJ for target at a higher price. Let's face it, if you are taking the time and effort to load, then you expect accuracy, and a load that is equal to previous FMJ loads. This is the bullet that does just that!! Accurate, never a snag while loading, and keeps the barrel clean. Oh did I mention the price.. well that sort of speaks for itself.
