B-Square Military bases are made of anodized aluminum with a durable blue finish. Mounts right over the top of the receiver so it cannot be used with open sights (except Springfield 1903, which is a see-through design). Comes with two 1" InterLock (Weaver-Style) rings.

It is a well made piece. ...

It is a well made piece. I was able to adjust for eye relief, however the I was not pleased with the firmness (or lack of) that the device clamped onto my flattop receiver. It felt as if the piece was designed for a Weaver mount and adapted for a 1913 rail.

It is a nice piece and ...

It is a nice piece and does raise your scope. But the height is a little too much. You have to move your cheek weld to use your scope. Also, it lacks the feel of being firmly mounted. I did have to use tools to tighten mine down, it kept coming loose.

I like this mount and ...

I like this mount and actaully bought a second one for my add-on upper. Yes, it is about .25 too high, but I easily fixed that with a Cheek-Eez 1/4 sorbothane pad. That also helped me with recoil on both the .223 and 7.62x39 uppers. The one-piece construction has been very durable and since I don't change optics, I have the nuts tightened down. They have not come loose after several hundred rounds through each. I lap every scope ring I install and this mount was no exception. It only took minor finish lapping to bring it to "true." Would recommend it as a capable mount, but would look at the Burris if scope height is a problem.

This mount seems tight ...

This mount seems tight enough and stable. You can crank down the thumbscrews with a screwdriver if you are concerned about the stability. The problem I have with it is the height. It puts my scope at least 1/2 inch higher than it needs to be which makes it harder to get a good cheek weld. If it came in more than one height it would be a much better product.

The top and bottom rings ...

The top and bottom rings were not the same diameter. The bottom ring was 1.10" whereas the top was 0.98". If lapped to true them, it would not hold the scope enough to prevent slipping under constant recoil. I returned this unit.

Nice that it moves the ...

Nice that it moves the scope forward to get a better shoulder / cheek placement ... but - really not a strong mount .. mount screws are not powerful and just doesn't give the feel of stableness ... get a one piece billet made mount instead
