Although I have a box ...

Although I have a box full of holsters, this is my first belly band. All in all I'm a little disappointed. First the pluses: It appears well made of quality material, and if the hook and loop fastener is lined up properly, it is comfortable to wear over bare skin. Now the negatives: That hook and loop fastener is designed such that when worn by a right handed shooter and not perfectly aligned, the plastic "hooks" rub against the skin. Leftys are in luck with this design, as the softer "loop" section will be next to them. Next, the pocket for the pistol is pretty small. A Colt Government 380 fits pretty well, a Kahr PM40 is a little more precarious due to the shorter barrel. For me my XD9 Subcompact is out of the question. There is a detachable hook and loop strap that can be used to secure the weapon if desired, complicating an already slower means of weapon presentation. Conversely, the mag pouches are big enough to accommodate a double stack mag with no problem. Extra mags for the small frame pistols this is designed for will disappear in the mag pouches, or fall out if you're not careful.Sadly, weapon imprinting is a big problem. No matter how I positioned the band, any posture other than standing straight would cause the Kahr to imprint through a t-shirt. Users who don't have a big chest and skinny waist will need a baggy shirt to avoid attracting unwanted attention.In summary, there are some circumstances where this will be a useful rig, and I intend to keep it. However, like most concealment systems it is a compromise. I guess that's why I have that box of holsters....

I found the Belly Band to ...

I found the Belly Band to be comfortable. What I did not like is the spare magazine for my P-11 would push up and fall out of the pocket on the belt. My P-11 also pushed out of the holster pocket even with a velcro security strap. It is possible that my being 25 lbs over weight may have contributed to this. However I do not think I am the only overweight person wanting to use this Belly Band.
