I posted before that the item did not work on Benjamin pellet guns. I was not wrong but I did figure out a way to fix it. There are small thin ridge lines on each side of the mount. If you carefully grind the ridge off each side it shrinks the clearance enough so that it tightens down. You should not have to do this but Midway's price is about ten dollars cheaper than most other places so to me it balances out. Took me about ten min. with a dremel to fix this problem and the gun zeroed out fine. Seems to be very tight to the gun after the grind fix.

This item does work, but you have to mount them forward of the breech and use a L.E.R. scope. The mounts are not very sturdy. I would look at other options.

This item is defective. I ...

This item is defective. I used it on my Benjamin air rifle and it will not tighten down. I had to put some duct tape on the inside of the mounts to take up the room. Not just a piece of tape, several layers. Its that loose, four layers of duct tape on each side to make it tighten down. Not the best quality at all for the money paid. Don't look at Cabalas they sell the same POS. My rifle is about 20 years old but it says that it will fit Benjamin air rifles. I googled the subject and found I am by far not the only one having this problem. Midway should take a look at this item to see if they want to keep it in their inventory. Midway would take it back no problem as they are a good company, but its a hassle to mess with it. As its a pellet gun and not a 50 yd gun I will give it a try.
