Having used Nosler Ballistic bullets in the past they seemed to come apart inside the cavity, not a problem with these. I have shot three bucks with these with excellent results. A lot of damage to the vitals with nice exit hole have not had to track any yet.

I have used the Scirocco in both the .277 & .284. I am very impressed with the accuracy. By that I mean three shot groups that I can cover with a quarter. I have recovered two of the bullets from deer. One had 93% weight retention and the other had 94% weight retention. Both had a nice, wide, uniform mushroom. I would recommend loading them for not less than 2900 fps muzzle velocity, MEASURED by chronograph, not based on reloading book estimates.

Amazing performance!!! For those of you looking for performance information on animals up to large NA game, here it is. 500 lb Rocky Mountain Bull Elk shot at 75 yds. Scirocco bullet entered thoracic cavity through one rib, passed through lungs, struck shoulder blade, turned 75 degrees down, and traveled 14 inches along humerus and lodged in the bicep. Elk ran 50 yards with a huge blood trail. Recovered bullet expanded 6.5 times original diameter, and had 71% weight retention. And, it shoots great out of my Savage. I will shoot no other bullet out of my gun.

The "new" Scirocco 2 shoots as good as it looks. I shoot a .270 Weatherby Mag. and the 130gr. Scirocco 2 hammers out consistent three shot groups of 1/2" or less at 100 yards. I plan to use them on deer this fall.

The Sirocco appears to be a winner!!! Thanks to Swifts Reloading Manual I had no trouble developing a load that will group 3-5 shots under 1 MOA at 100 yards from a bench rest. Interestingly, the group increased to under 2.5-3.0 MOA at 200 yards & remained virtually the same at 300 yards, If I do what I need to. Have not used the 270 on Big Game at this time, but if performance is anything like 7mm REM MAG 150 GR bullet, it should be just fine for any deer or antelope. (complete pass through with no bullet fragmentation) So much for my long lived prejudice against soft lead/plastic tipped bullets. My wish list, possibly, a .243 CAL/6mm & a .25 CAL is in the making.

Swift Sirocco bullets perform with nearly the same superb accuracy as other major mfr polycarbonate tipped projectiles. Their terminal performance appears to be a bit better with less expansion a close range.
