These are a great set of ...

These are a great set of rings. After using these I will likely replace the cheap aluminum rings on my other rifles.

Rock solid and sturdy. ...

Rock solid and sturdy. Can handle much more than the small bore 527. The only problem I have with the design is that the vertical split uses the bottom two screws both for attaching rings to the rifle and holding the scope in place. So if you ever need to remove the scope, you will have to disassemble the whole setup, including loosening the top screws, and sight in your rifle again from scratch. Most other "permanent attachment" designs allow you to take off the scope and rings as a unit, even if you do need a wrench to do it. Warne makes a "quick release" version of these rings which doesn't have this problem and is a much better buy, but they are hard to find.

I do not know what others ...

I do not know what others are talking about the lug being in the wrong place. Mine is a screw that is in the correct place on the left side. I had read that if it were in the middle then you are to place it behind the front mount in the ejection port of the rifle. I just know mine are wonderful.

I'm happy with these ...

I'm happy with these rings. I put an older Burris 6X18X42MM scope on my CZ 527 Walnut Varmit model rifle and needed to go to Warne's high profile rings. Warne had incorrectly recommended their medium rings - the bolt wouldn't completely clear the scope's eye piece.I prefer these rings to CZ and Millet rings as they appear sturdier.
