The TAPCO Picatinny-Style Riser Mount allows you to mount an optic on a flattop AR and see completely over the front sight. This riser mount is constructed of a polymer composite material that provides all the strength of aluminum while being much lighter. Mount attaches to a flattop receiver with two thumb nuts and a slide plate.

I mounted the product on a target AR that required more lift to mount a scope. It functioned flawlessly and mounted quite easily. To date, the product has been as good as anticipated.

I mounted this to a 16" RRA mid-length 5.56 AR. On the TAPCO Riser I mounted a small red dot site. While shooting, the whole mount fell off the gun. This was after about 160 rounds. So, if you decide to purchase, make sure you check the thumb screws during shooting! Once aligned on the rail, you push in & turn the thumb screws - which allows the metal "plungers" on the other side to protrude & lock into the rail.

I bought this TAPCO riser so I could clear the MI iron sights I installed on my R25 and have removable long range optics. With the AR Stoner 1 piece rings mounted on it, it works perfectly and holds zero when I take it off and reinstall it. I bought it for the big tightening screws and it is exactly what I wanted. A good product from a good name brand.
