The stock is very solid in which I installed onto my Yugo. For a complete cleaning there is a small slot in the grip to remove the trigger assembly, you may want to use a bent screwdriver to push in the pin. The pistol grip is hollow with a wire holding a (trap door) which you could place a sight tool or other items in. I gave it a 4 star because of the installation of the hand guard. I've shot with other synthetic stocks and by far this is the best. It will make you think about changing your scope to fit the look of this stock. A must for the black gun look.

This seemed like an alright product. I did not get to use it because I have a Yugo SKS. It doesn't tell you but if you have a Yugo you need to buy another gas piston tube and that can run you $50 from TAPCO. But if you have a Russian or Chinese I think it will work fine. Was a good product though.

Be careful, I originally ordered the one without the bayonet relief as the on-line review said "Fits all SKS Models". When I recieved it, there was some small font text on the package saying "except with bayonet". I sent a suggestion to Midway to include that caveat on the web page. After returning the wrong stock and ordering the correct replacement, installation was easy. I didn't install the gas tube cover with the rail as I plan on installing a scope so putting something in front of the scope seems silly. Fit and finish of the Tapco stock is good and gives the rifle an aggressive look. Replacing the cosmoline soaked stock improves the smell as well. All in all, very satisfied.

I read reviews before purchasing.Some not so good.
Some people seem clueless.I had no problem at all istalling this on my YUGO. NO special tools,NO grinding or cutting was required.If I had let the reviews sway me I would not have purchased this item.I am extreamly satisfied with this product and the rugged material,(I Have Never Seen Such Rigid And Precision Molded Plastic)used to manufacture my T-6 SKS STOCK.
Thanks For A Great Product !
I Would Definitly Refer Others To This Product And I Plan On Purchasing Another In The Near Future For My Other Rifle

Most EXCELLENT! I installed on my Yugo with no problems at all. Snug as a glove fit and I did not have to file anything. Spent more time getting the hand guard original pin out than anything else. Love it! What are you waiting for??

This is a great addition for the price. I am new to any sort of gunsmithing, however I put this together with a friend in a few hours. It took a bit of filing on the handguard/gas tube cover, and the piece rattles a bit after I finished installing it, but that may well be because of me having overdone the filing. Otherwise, the piece fits tight, feels great, directions are very detailed. I give it four stars because of the handguard being a bit loose and also because the finish was not quite as good as I expected. Regardless, I would buy it again, however I would buy it with the extra rail for a forend grip mount. Definitely worth the money it cost.

Big improvement over stock. May require some fitting. Upper gas tube is a you know what. I bought the Tapco gas tube, it does require some fitting. So so finish. Overall 3.5-4 stars.

Put on my Yugo SKS. Easy to install with directions. Fit like a tight glove. The only problem I had was getting the top hand guard on. It required some filing to get the gun to be put back together. I would recommend if anyone is looking for a new stock and wants to keep the bayonet fixed.

I like the material used, the feel, finish & dimensions. My sample however required a good bit of fitting. The action needed to come back in the stock about 3/16". I used a milling machine to remove stock material behind the recoil lug. You WILL need to glass bed your action! Join the NRA!
