This AK47 buttstock is patterned after that of the Bulgarian's interpretation of this rifle, allowing you to retain an original look for your AK-style rifle while also replacing an old, worn stock with an American made part that counts toward 922r compliance. Stock comes with a metal buttplate and side sling swivel.

You can't really beat it for the price. It's very easy to install. The only bad thing I found was that there is a sharp molding line down the center of the top and bottom of the stock. I took a sharp knife and trimmed them off. Otherwise a fine stock, nice and light. Looks MUCH better than the laminated wood that came with the gun. Matches my new hand guards.

This stock is solid and ...

This stock is solid and well-built, with a serious metal buttplate that offers good grip. Unfortunately, there is one serious flaw; the metal d-ring attachment is not a solid welded ring like on a surplus stock. It's a bent piece of relatively soft wire. I slung up an AK with a full mag over my shoulder a couple of times and the wire bent out and came out of the bracket, releasing the sling at that attachment point. I'm lucky I held onto the sling and didn't drop the thing. As it is, this stock attachment wouldn't survive any AK training class, or any time in the field. It's a shame that such a sturdy stock has such a weakness, especially when it would be an easy fix to include a welded d-ring with the stock. Hopefully they will read this and make the change!

I like these stocks, they ...

I like these stocks, they are great for the money. I've installed these on several European AK's. Just keep in mind it is Warsaw length... so the length of pull is supposed to be around 13".

Pretty good stock for the ...

Pretty good stock for the price. Installation time was about 20 minutes, no big deal just some minor drilling, a drill bit and screws are included. Put a couple dabs of Gorilla glue on the piece that slides into the receiver to ensure a snug fit. Makes gun lighter and it looks great with matching handguard. Only reason it's 4 out of 5 stars is it's hollow but there's no storage compartment, which would have been awesome.

I love it, good firm fit ...

I love it, good firm fit on my wasr 10/63. It took no time at all to install and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good everyday use stock. On the down side, it is a bit thin and the butt plate is more for looks but if you don't plan on bashing things with it, it will do just fine.

Junk! Bad molding lines ...

Junk! Bad molding lines going up and down at the end near the metal butt plate. Called Tapco they said their mold was probably getting old and are sending a new one. Do yourself a favor buy an Arsenal butt stock theyre flawless. Just received mine today.

I had originally replaced ...

I had originally replaced the wood sporter stock on my MAK-90 with an AR telescoping stock with a cheap adapter. The setup worked OK, however I did not like the looseness of the adjustability feature. This product is a much better choice for an AK type rifle. The fit was very tight and requires some minor trimming in various places on the mounting block. I am very pleased with this stock. The cheek weld is best suited to use of iron sights or a very low scope mount. I removed a star because the included screws just don't seem adequate. I re-used the screws from my old stock, which are much larger and better made. I recommend this to anyone looking for synthetic furniture on their ak.

Very well made and fit ...

Very well made and fit very tight in my Maadi AK. It was much smaller than the original wood stock, about 2" shorter in length, 1" shorter in height, and a 1/2 " thinner. It works very well but makes my AK look kind of like a youth gun.
