Great stock. Easy to install, very solid. My only problem is the pistol grip.. it must be removed to break the weapon down for cleaning. A big sheet metal screw going in and out of plastic will wear it out over time...I would buy another.

It is a good nice fitting stock and I had no problems switching my SKS over. However, the stock did not come with any hardware, and rather than send it back and have the long delay, I just went down to the local hardware store and bought the screws I needed. I am pleased with the way it looks and fits.

Bought this for my son's ...

Bought this for my son's Norinco, he had most of it installed before i got home. I only helped him with the gas tube cover. It's alot easier to load mags and can easily acquire a good sight picture. It does look cool too.

Stock fit well. I had to ...

Stock fit well. I had to alter slightly to fit a Spike Bayonet. When I mounted a red dot on the rail is when I got unhappy. I had to grind off one side and build up the other with J-B Weld to get the rail centered so I could sight it in. Also with cross bolts on the red dot the channel for the iron sights was no longer usable. Even with these drawbacks it is a big improvement on my pre ban Triangle 26 Chinese SKS.

Perfect fit, quality ...

Perfect fit, quality item. 20 minutes with a Dremel and I no longer have to take the grip off too remove the trigger assembly. Looks nice too.

Excellent. The problem ...

Excellent. The problem some people have with this stock is having to remove the grip to remove the trigger assembly. This can easily be remedied by cutting off a small amount of metal found at the rear of the trigger assembly. I've done it to mine and it works flawlessly. I never have to remove the grip again.

On the good side, it does ...

On the good side, it does fit the rifle (mostly) and is reasonably easy to install. Says in catalog that it is for spike bayonet or no bayonet. SHOULD SAY: no bayonet only. I've put many hours into modifying the stock for the bayonet...and the edges around the magazine well needed to be dulled a bit to avoid getting cut while changing mags. I doubt I'd buy it again, and would be wary of other Tapco products.

Great stock, extremely ...

Great stock, extremely comfortable and a great fit for my Chinese type 56. Had only 2 issues with this stock. Had to file the upper handguard at the front and back to get it to fit, and had to file the edges of the magazine well as they were rather sharp. All in all a great stock.

Works great! Only problem ...

Works great! Only problem I have is there's a little bit of "wiggle" in the stock. It doesn't affect my shooting at all, but it's a little annoying.
