I have a Romanian WASR 10 and the mag is definitely rugged. I will compare it to the regular military surplus mag and polymer ProMag....no comparison. Most of you know that WASR have a lil jiggle with the mag from left to right, w/ these you have almost nothing w/ magazine empty. I had to trim the top front lip and back of the mag a little w/ a file and fit like a real glove. When I say a glove, I mean tight. The mag plate is metal not like the ProMag. I should have bought more now that I see almost everyone has sold out. I would recommend buying at least 3 and you will not be disappointed. Best AK-mag I have seen yet. Almost forgot fed flawlessly w/ 200rds through it and has also anti tilt follower if it helps!

Tapco makes good stuff. At least most of the time. I have ordered two sets of these mags. The first set was awesome and functioned flawlessly at the range. The second set functioned horrible. The first set had heavy-duty springs in them. The second set that I ordered didn't not. They have a cheap, thin, and smaller spring in them. And they jam. Also they are packaged different. The good ones have the Tapco cardboard stapled to the top of the plastic bag they are in. The other cheap one's don't. They are just in plain plastic bags. They are however the same mag except for the heavy-duty spring in them. I am disappointed in Tapco for this. Everyone should know the truth and that's why I gave them one star.

My AK is all black so I like to sometimes change it up and use this earth colored mag for fun. The mag is very stiff in the beginning so it needs to be broken in...but this is a good thing because it means it will last.

It is a great price, but I have a 1984 Romanian Ak and I had to file/sand it to get the mag to fit right. Very strong polymer construction, metal base plate. I'm not saying this is a bad mag it might fit great in newer Ak's. Overall its a good product for a good price.

I love these mags neve had a single issue out of any i own. But Midway has really made me mad since it would only let me order 2 at a time. It says to better serve our customers but it my opinion i think its to hit us for another shipping charge. I have spent tons of money with these guys i think i should be able to order how ever many mags i want to.

I have a feg and have had ...

I have a feg and have had no problems, fit is great and no feed problems, springs on mine are fine last five rounds are hard to load last three very hard load no problem shooting full mags. I have six magazines never had a misfeed. Very light weight and very sturdy for polymer.

This review is specifically on the 'Bakelite Orange' version of this mag. As most of you interested in this color of mag will know, appearance is paramount. Unlike the cool looking photo with a swirled orange color texture, I received completely single colored mud brown magazines. They are as orange as the sky is beige. They do NOT look anything like what is in the picture. They are so far off I give them 1 star because of not meeting the advertised specs. I give them +1 to that though, because the springs and followers fit standard import steel AK magazines if you need to rebuild or use a part for 922r compliance. That is a great + to this product. Note however, that the spring is much shorter and less dense than a real AK magazine, so while it may function fine now, in the long run, it will NOT last as long as a real AK mag. Had I bought these in black, I'd have given them 4 or 5 stars. But, since I bought the bakelite version specifically for the promised looks, and Tapco did NOT deliver in that department, it's 1 of 5 stars with a +1 for being able to use as replacement parts for real AK47 magazines.

I own 8 of these and they ...

I own 8 of these and they fit tight and feed perfect in my Romanian WASR AK 47. Yes a couple of them might need light sanding to fit in YOUR rifle, but the tolerances on AK's differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. It's worth the 5 minutes it takes to fit them to YOUR rifle so they are tight with no wobble. Nice big raised ribs for good grip. After several hundred uses I can see the plastic lip that locks the mag into the rifle wearing out, but for now 5 stars.

Its a little tight in the ...

Its a little tight in the mag well but some brand new polymers are like that. Feeds like a steel mag. Rated three stars because the product is not as pictured. Tapco calls this "bakelite orange" and its even pictured as a sort of pumpkin orange color. Its pretty much brown. I wouldnt have spent money on a brown mag that wasnt chinese.
