Because they are caliber-specific, you can be assured of an optimum fit to your firearm's bore for efficient and thorough cleaning. 17 to 45 caliber (does not include 20 caliber). All jags and brushes have 8-32 threads (17 caliber has 5- 40 threads and is a standard bore brush).

Excellent bore brush and jag set. The Best Bore Brushes and Ultra Cleaning Jags have a snugger fit in the bore and I have to make fewer passes down the bore to get the barrel cleaner and faster than with other brushes and jags that I have used in the past. Each hole in the hinged box is marked with the corresponding brush/jag size for a quick selection of the appropriate brush/jag. The box fits nicely in my range box or on my work bench so I can find them quickly when needed.

Great jags but you really ...

Great jags but you really do need to use the right size patch because they are tight fitting, as they should be. The plating is nice because copper solvents don't turn your patches green from the brass dissolving. That being said, why are the brushes brass? You would think that a Best Brush set would be made of stainless or be plated. The ends of each brush is cut. I had to take a file to them to round off the edges because many of them were sharp enough to snag skin on my fingers and hands.

Excellent product and value. Ordered the case for the jags and brushes too so the set would take up less space on my bench. Make sure you use strong patches, T-shirt material works best, or else you will puncture the patch and leave it stuck in the barrel. This set makes cleaning easier so I find myself keeping my guns in better shape.

Excellent product and set. Handles all my rifles and handguns. The jags are much better than slotted tips. Drastically reduced the number of patches used. Slotted tips usually required at least two patches per run thru the barrel but these jags need just one. Also like being able to run the brush and the patch back and forth to scrub the barrel thoroughly. Only wish shotgun brushes and jags were included to keep all in one nice organized container.

UPDATE: Tipton took care of a problem, sent me a new .17 cal brush (original not threaded). Product works great. The jags work as described, I've never used a jag to clean bore before always used loops and I am now a believer that I never really cleaned my guns prior to the use of a jag. Truly works better at getting copper out of your barrel. Hoppes #9 + Tipton Ultra Jag and Brush = Clean bore and happy shooting! Shoot often, shoot safe!

I've been using these cleaning jags & brushes for a year and because I prairie dog shoot for 3 weeks each summer, that's a lot of use.I love that they are organized in a neat box & are of very high quality.My two complains are 1.) there is no 20 caliber brush or jag (I have 4 .204 Rugers) and 2.) The points on the jags have to be sharpened to work properly. The points are so blunt and large diametered that when they poke through the patch the patch slides all the way down the rod and jams. Jags need to have sharp, skinny points (or no point at all). If it weren't for these two points of contention, I would have given this product a 5-star rating.

Excellent set of jags. My set came with two jags that had threads out of alignment or shafts bent and would not screw into Tipton carbon fiber rod. E-mailed Tipton support and they had replacement jags in my mailbox in one day, no questions or cost. Excellent customer service! Very happy with this purchase. Though if it were me designing this, I would shrink the container some. Not a complaint, just a suggestion!

Great product, great value. Reduces cleaning time becasue, brushes and jags are correct fit, requires a few passes. I've been told it's not good to reverse the direcion of a brush while in the barrel. So I'll need to get a shorter brush for my .38 Special. Still I'd buy these again!
