This unit was developed for Federal Law Enforcement agencies and produces a smoother trigger pull and improved trigger staging. This replacement coil spring trigger return unit eliminates trigger spring breakage and requires no modification to the gun. Please note that these units will not function in the latest Beretta 92 or 96 pistols with polymer triggers.

I installed one many years ago on my 96fs and loved it. It wasn't until recently I fired a 96fs without one and there is a difference. The other reviews say it makes the trigger feel like mush which isn't really a good description. It's softer and smoother without the "springy" feel to it. It definitely didn't feel like a reduced trigger pull because of the hammer spring. Replacing the hammer spring from wolf reduced it a lot. Remove the hammer spring to "feel" the difference between stock and this device. This is a great product that has held up to heavy use!!

Installed this over a year ago, works great. Remember though that you also have to replace the hammer spring to get a lighter trigger that doesnt feel like mush. Paired with the proper hammer spring I cannot feel a transition in the first and second stage, SA pull feels comparable to a GI 1911.

Trigger has to be modified to function correctly in a Beretta 96. Also no diiference in trigger pull, might as well stay stock.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed. While the springs' primary purpose was fulfilled (replacing the breakage-prone torsion spring), the trigger pull was neither lightened or smoother after installation. There is a mushy, dragging sensation after installation, and the trigger feels a bit heavier, even with the reduced power spring.

Even though it says that you can use this in a Taurus don't bother if you have a PT92 with a de-cock. This kit will not work for you. Every time you hit the de-cock lever this unit will pop up and jam the action almost every time. Over the course of a year I put about 500 rounds through with this installed. It doesn't lighten the trigger at all. It just makes the 1st stage of the trigger feel like mush. Made my PT92 feel very junky. Maybe this works better in the Beretta's but in a Taurus it's junk.

This part is a true drop-in, no alteration necessary. I installed this in a Beretta 96 inox in conjunction with a #16 hammer spring. The SA/DA trigger pull is smooth and light. I don't have data for the pull wieghts, but I will update when I can. I haven't tested long term reliability, I've only got a couple hundred rounds through it. But, to that point there were no light strikes or malfunctions of any kind. Just a great pistol that now feels even better suited to my shooting preferences.
