Don't waste your money. Extension mag spring catches on the 20 rd mag that you are modifying. I ended up messing a good 20 rd mag just trying to make the extension work better.

I bought 2 of these for my five-seven, easy to put together, just wish they fed better. Ran 700 rds through them over the weekend. After the first shot it tried to load 2 rds at the same time, and then again after the 3rd shot. After about 300 rds started loading 28 rds in ea mag, then 26, then 23. Still same thing, seemed to stop at 21. worked fine after that, never had any problems with my 20 rd mags. guess I'll be stickin' with the 20 rd mags. I wish they would have worked for me, 30 is always better than 20.

Thank you all very much for your posted reviews; you helped my decision to purchase and install. I bought one of these to test/try and no instructions also. Install was easy after reading your review(s). I had similar issues such as when reassembling, but with the help of tools like Leatherman Micro to ease tight areas back together it all came back together OK. Have not yet used/tested at range yet, but it appears to be fine. One caveat (as with any such items) is being careful removing any items that have spring(s) behind it. When the mag plate popped off, the interior spring launched and ricocheted off my forehead in quite a silly, preventable maneuver.

I bought two of these to extend two of the three factory mags that come with the Five-seveN. They were a breeze to install. Pop off the floor plate with your thumbs if you are strong enough or place the floor plate against the edge of a table with the mag horizontal and press down til it pops off. Remove the factory spring and follower, place the follower onto the CMMG spring, snap the extension onto the mag like you would the floor plate, put the follower and spring back into the mag and snap in the factory floor plate back into place. That's it. No need for instructions for something that simple. No problems on feeding. Everything works fine.

I bought 5 of these for use with some mags that I purchased as a LEO. They were a little hard to install as mine did not come with instructions, but they worked out fine. Smooth feeding and function with no issues, even after several thousand rounds through them. I have no problem trusting my life to the ones I received.

I purchased one of these CMMG magazine extension kits awhile ago at the same time that I purchased my FN Five-seveN pistol. I finally got around to installing the parts on a new FN magazine that I recently purchased. The kit parts appeared to be of good quality, and the installation did not seem to pose any problems until I went to install the follower with the new spring into the lengthened magazine body. The follower would only go in a short distance. After some inspection, I concluded that the follower was "hanging up" on the edge of the interface between the original magazine body and the extension. I disassembled the parts, and when I removed the extension I found that it was cracked severely on one side where it attaches like the original floor plate. There was also some cracking along the bottom edge of the original magazine body. I can only conclude that the extension was slightly too narrow. I believe that this caused the bottom edges of the original magazine body to be "pulled in" too much to allow the follower to be inserted past the interface edge, and also caused the stress cracks in the plastic of the extension and the magazine body. I was able to reassemble the original magazine and it appears to be fine now, although its long-term durability is suspect due to the cracking. I considered the CMMG magazine extension to be ruined, and I immediately dumped it in the trash. There were no written instructions with my kit, so perhaps I did something wrong, but I really doubt it; I have disassembled all sorts of pistol magazines before with no trouble, and I tend to be careful and patient -- I did not use "brute force" trying to assemble/disassemble any of the parts! In summary, I found this product to be a complete waste of money.
