Direct replace for the factory trigger guard. Features a "V" shape to accomodate gloves for use in tactical and winter shooting operations. Proudly made in the USA, this trigger guard works with most AR-15 grips and includes a roll pin and set screw. The Enhanced Trigger Guard is non-folding, has rounded edges, and fills the annoying "gap" at the rear of the standard trigger guard.

This is a fantastic addition to any AR-15! I have built several AR-style rifles using RRA, Stag, Bushmaster and DPMS lowers and have never had to hand-fit the guard to any of them. This improved trigger guard provides more than ample room for gloved fingers- even heavy winter gloves- and it eliminates the gap at the rear of the standard trigger guard that many find uncomfortable. This Magpul guard is nicely made of aluminum and is well finished, and includes all necessary hardware (a new pin and a headless Allen screw for the front hole). All you need to do to install is use a 1/8" roll-pin punch (#4 Pilot punch) to remove the old pin (if applicable), place the Magpul guard in position, use the same punch to carefully insert the new pin in the rear of the guard, and use an Allen wrench to install the front screw. That's all it takes to install this- you won't regret it! It's a truly useful item and gives any AR a unique look, too!

Two good things this looks great and is functional for what it is. Drops to three stars because it uses a cheapo Allen screw that was difficult to screw in due to bad alignment and weak threads that stripped too easily. Then to top it off I can't screw in any further to get it flush due to the fact of the Allen slot being thrashed and stripped. So now its stuck in my lower with a 1/16th inch sticking out and no way of taking it out. Guess I'm stuck with it...

Very good quality as I have come to expect from MagPul. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Installed on a CMMG and did not have the problem with the screw not fitting flush as some reviewers noted. Deducted one star because there is a 1/8 inch gap between the rear outside guard flanges and the reciever detracting from appearance but acceptable none the less .

Very easy to install and looks cool too. No fitting required on my Spikes lower. It fit like it was made for my gun. Had NO problems with the set screw in the front-went right in. No need to include a 1/8" hex wrench, I already have several and it keeps cost down to exclude it. Great product!

EZ fit on a Bushmaster ...

EZ fit on a Bushmaster lower. No fitting required. Makes the AR far more glove friendly. Definitely fills the gap between the TG and the grips.

The input from others ...

The input from others helped me to mount this trigger guard with no problems. I first screwed the small threaded into the front left side. Yup ...it didn't seat flush, about 1/16". Used the hex wrench tightened in a vise to hold the screw and filed it to the proper depth. As for the roll pin, I again used the vise to squeeze it tight at both ends. It started well and I finished it off with a brass drift. The trigger guard is tighter than a factory installed unit. Hope this helps, it is an excellent product.

Fit right onto my RRA lower. Fills the gap nicely, and looks good. Breaks up the standard AR lower receiver platform and give the gun a more custom look. I have shot standard ARs with gloves on (7 months in the sandbox) and never had a problem, this just looks cooler. 4 stars because it rattles a bit, but that's to be expected when you make a standard part for every AR lower under the sun. Great product.

I gave this product a five star rating due to the excellent quality & fit & absolute ease of instalation. It fills that void at the bottom rear of the guard very well. The angle of the guard blends perfectly with the bottom angle of the mag well creating ample room for the largest finger. Why Stoner didn't consider this in the original design is a mystery.

I installed one on a Bushmaster LR 308 today. The fit is fine, as is its function. I like the fact that it covers the void between the guard and grip. It looks good. I'll likely have to install em' in any AR that'll be used for hunting.
