After reading the only ...

After reading the only review, I decided to order it anyway. I had ordered a Wolf 14# spring and guide rod. Proved too heavy so I ordered the 11# ISMI spring and not the captured guide rod because of the somewhat negative review. Would not fit the wolf so I ordered the ISMI captured guide rod. High quality and worked perfectly. I cannot say anything bad about it. In fact, I wish I could buy one for my P226.

First, the rod was thick ...

First, the rod was thick for a factory spring so I had to use a Wolff spring which makes the captive feature useless. (I do not like the ISMI springs) Second, the front screw for the captive feature was machined crooked and I had to file it to fit through the front of the slide to allow proper recoil operation without binding. I will stick with the Wolff rod next time.
