The JP Enterprises Cleaning Bore Guide is a lathe-turned piece of aircraft grade, color anodized aluminum with heavy duty O-rings to center and retain it in the upper receiver while cleaning through it. It is made with a solvent hole located at the ejection port. It will avoid damage to the chamber, throat, and crown of your expensive rifle.

Best AR-15 bore guide on the market

This is hands down the best AR-15 bore guide on the market. The fit and finish are impeccable and it is incredibly easy to use. The solvent hole is a key feature which keeps most of the solvent on the patch and not dripping on your work bench. I use this on both my JP 20" barrel and a Yankee Hill 14.5 inch barrel with excellent result. Get a bore guide and couple it with a one piece caliber specific cleaning rod to see what you have been missing.

Truly a pleasure to use. Fit, finish, tolerances, ruggedness, this guide is a whole class above the others. Insert it in your upper, and as it 'snicks' into place you know instantly why it costs more. Now that I've used it, I have NO regrets about paying the price. To make it rugged, they did not put an o-ring around the tip, so after you're done, make sure to run a patch through to clean out the chamber neck!

I bought this because of other reviews I had seen about the plastic guides breaking. This fits very tight, very smooth transition between guide and bore. I never used to use a guide until I had several friends tell me that they are a must have. I was amazed and how much easier it is with the guide and not running the rod into everything but my rifle bore. Highly recommend.

I typically shoot about 200 rounds a week practicing for NRA HP matches. So I spend lots of time cleaning an AR. This product is a must have item! Not only will it save your expensive barrel from ware with the cleaning rod, but it keeps the patch from unwinding off the cleaning jag before it makes its way into the bore. Its made of aluminum so it will last foever. Yea, its a bit expensive, but you will thank yourself for getting it.

From the moment you lay eyes on this piece of cleaning equipment you will know it was worth the money you paid for it. It arrived in a plastic tube and it LOOKS SOLID!! When I took it out of the tube it was heavy and appeared to be very finely crafted and machined. It comes with 2 O-rings for adapting to your receiver and it fit snugly in all of my DPMS, Daniel Defense and Spike's Tactical receivers. My cleaning rods fit into it nicely and I had no worries of scratching, or bending anything nor of marring my barrel crown. I used this device while breaking in my new DPMS mini-SASS barrel and it saved me an enormous amount of time and frustration. I would simply break the rifle down into upper and lower half, slip this device into the upper receiver and then stand it on the bench on the bipod with the receiver end being supported by the end of the bore guide. Then I went about preparing my cleaning rod/solvent/patches/brush knowing the upper half wouldn't tip over. The solvent hole is also a great feature for adding solvent into the bore guide rather than saturating your brush, mop or patch and pushing it through the guide. Also the edges of the hole are beveled to facilitate the solvent going down into the hole. I love this product! Is it pricey? Yes it is! Is is worth the money? Definitely yes!!!

Ok... I'm going to say it. I questioned if it was worth it. Then I got one. First time I used it was to break in a barrel. 25 shots, clean after every shot. 100 shots, clean after every 10. You can not properly break in a barrel without a bore guide and this is the best one ever made for the AR platform. It will make your cleaning sessions much more enjoyable. It will protect the accuracy of your weapon. Yeah, it ain't cheap. Your AR wasn't cheap either. Do it right the first time and buy one. You will not be disappointed.

A bit more expensive but definitely worth it. Replaces the bolt and fits snug. Has a nice solvent port on the side that you can access through the AR's ejection port. Just a well made piece of equipment.

Solid piece of equipment. O-rings fit snugly and hold securely. The best bore guide out there. Wish they made one for my Tikka 7mm-08. Beautiful, functional and precisely made like you rarely see anymore.
