I typically have ...

I typically have reservations about marking down a product rating based on an aspect not dealing with product quality. But this time I'm going to make an exception to keep others from losing out on value.....I thought I was getting a great deal when I ordered this. Everywhere I checked, they were five bucks more. However, they also included the internal storage kit and grip plug which cost twelve dollars separately. This was not the case here. I had seen it included with every Hogue AK grip listing that I shopped for so I assumed they were standard; apparently not. Now I have to decide if twelve dollars plus additional shipping is worth the grip plug (I don't need the storage kit, just the plug). I could have spent five dollars extra elsewhere and received the kit. The grip feels outstanding and is freakin sweet...no problems there. It's just the value does not compete with many competitors and I hope to keep others from losing out on something that they may want for a few dollars more without spending nearly the price of the grip all over again to get it shipped to their house. If you don't mind a big access hole in the bottom of your grip and don't need storage (like me) then get this one. But if you want the internals, they can be found at many places with a quick google search. Product = great....value = not there.

Let me start by saying this: BUY IT NOW!!
I have tried multiple grips on my WASR 10/63 and just like the set I have on my 1911 these Hogue grips were made right. My hand has a positive grip at all times even when I sweat. The grip was easy to install using the screw supplied and just looks agressive when paired with my Arsenal furniture.

Probably the most comfortable AK grip I've owned. Installed on my milled Bulgarian with no modifications! If I owned more AK's I would put it on those as well! Great grip!

I have a Hogue on my SPR, and it's a bit better than the stock AR grip. Putting this on my AK is light years ahead of that tiny thing the Russians came up with when everyone had hands the size of a 10 year old in the 40s. I highly recommend it.

To me this is the best ...

To me this is the best grip available for the AK. The fit on my '94 MAK-90 was perfect but considering the dozens of countries making AKM's I think its unreasonable to detract from this product just because it doesn't fit your particular variant perfectly. AK's are made all over the world folks, they're not Remington 700's. As with most any aftermarket AK part some tweaking shouldn't be a big surprise. I also give this five stars without a grip plug for two reasons. One, the specs don't say it comes with one. Two, who cares? If you want a plug Hogue gives you different options that actually accomplish something, one that holds batteries or the Samson kit. Get what you want. A plain plug does nothing.
