Don't let my rating ...

Don't let my rating discourage you. This is a terrific replacement for a stock grip, and what you'd expect from Hogue with regards to fit, texture, and construction, these receive my highest rating. But if you have a large hand, you may be a little disappointed. There's just not enough meat on the bone nearer the frame. For comparison, I wear a L/XL glove size. I believe you would find that this grip complements your AR nicely. Finger grooves, very comfortable, just a little small around the neck for me. If they (Hogue) came out with a 2nd, larger size, or if they came out with the slip cover design such as with their pistol models, I'd buy two more in a heartbeat.

I have used Hogue, ERGO, Magpul, and A2 grips on my AR rifles and the hogue is by far the best. The overmolded rubber gives you great grip, and the finger grooves are really comfortable. Good angle on the grip too.

The BEST grip for an AR hands down. I originally put a magpul grip on, HATED it. This grip fits my large hand nicely, the finger grooves are nice, and the rubber texture lets me hang onto it even while my hands are sweaty. I also like the ergo-grip, but this Hogue grip is by far my favorite AR grip.

I've built several AR lowers and have used this grip and another popular brand on them. This is by far the most comfortable I've used. I'm in the process of retro fitting all of my ARs and order this grip for every new lower purchase. As an aside, the insert and plug (if you either buy the add-on or the grip that comes with them) doesn't rattle unlike its competition, but can be a tight fit- which is great but can be tough to work if your hands are cold). Get this grip. Your hands will thank you.

Just received the Hogue grip and installed in a flash. Grip fit perfectly to a RRA lower. The secure feel of the rubber grip is exceptional, it is as advertised. Just ordered a second one.

I wanted a HOGUE ...

I wanted a HOGUE picattiny/gas block mounted grip, just like at the trigger end. HOGUE said not yet. Surprise, the HOGUE grip fits the YHM picattiny/gas block grip mount. Now both grips are HOGUE.
