These slugs with a two ...

These slugs with a two thousand foot per second muzzle velocity turned my Ithica Deerslayer into a flat shooting rifle. Sighted in at fifty yards two inches high with all three forty five caliber holes touching each other. Killed four deer last year with one shot each using these slugs all went right down where they were hit. Closest was about seventy yards and the farthest was near one hundred and thirty yards with no hold over target. Expensive but worth the money.

Terrible accuracy. My son and I were not able to get the Remington Accu-tips that we normally use in our guns, so we tried this Winchester ammo. 100 yard group with the H&R Ultra slug gun was 8 inches - with my Savage 220 10 inches. We typically get 2-3 inch groups with the Remingtons. Will not buy any more.

Hunted a lake area that only allowed shotgun or bow. Desided on a twenty gauge after seeing the ballistics one this shell. Who needs the recoil of the twelve gauge. Got a Buck opening morning. Very accurate out of a Mossberg 500 with rifled barrel out to two hundred yards.

Sighted in a Mossberg 20 gauge rifled barrel slug gun with a cantilever scope mount, topped with a Leupold 2-7X. Rounds stay within 1" at 50 yards. Can't ask for more.

This round in my Ithaca deer slayer shoots 1 -1/2" @ 100 yds. and is the hardest hitting deer round I have ever used. 2 does, 1 spike buck, all behind the shoulder, no movement beyond a roll down a hill. I have no clue what they would do on larger game, but recommend them to anyone for deer size game.

I changed from Hornady SST to these for my TC prohunter 20 ga. I had better accuracy, & moved up to the 3" for more velocity. On paper, I was able to get a 2 inch group at 100 yards consistently. This week, shot a huge Ohio Whitetail buck at 80 yards. They performed just like all partitions, complete pass through, with massive damage to heart and lungs. The buck only ran 10-15 yards and fell over. I am sold on these, as I am on all partition style bullets.

I shoot these slugs from a modern single-shot H&R Ultragon Slugger (thick bull barrel) and the long range accuracy is remarkable. As another review above stated, I now use this gun with these slugs in place of my rifle most days. I too originally tried to shoot the Hornady SSTs, but my groups were not that good. My gun will shoot these Partition Golds in a "50 cent piece" sized group at 100 yards from a Caldwell Leadsled. The internal damage is devastating, with most of the chest cavity becoming "slush". In Alabama we can kill a buck AND two does per day in many counties, and one day last year I shot a 200-lb eight point, quartering away at about 75 yards. The bullet entered the left rear hip and I found it lodged just under the skin on the opposing front shoulder. The neat thing is that there was ZERO distortion of the bullet shape. The "flower" partition was PERFECT! There were two does with this buck, and they bounded far out into the cutover when I shot the buck. I ranged the closest doe at 177 yards and held dead on. She dropped immediately and amazingly the slug passed through completely. The 2nd doe actually ran slightly closer when I shot the first doe, so I shot her too (did not range her, but I would guess about 150 yards?). The 2nd doe did run about 50 yards before expiring, but my shot placement was off and yet the partition slug still slushed the chest cavity. I brag to EVERYONE about these Partition Gold slugs...there is a reason why they are more expensive! Worth every penny!

I shoot this is my Encore & LOVE EM!!!!!! I was shooting the Federal Barnes 3" at 1900 fps. as I couldn't find these till this year. The Fed's shot very well & these shoot even better. Groups at 100 yards from a good rest leaves 3 hole clover groups usually touching each other unless I do something wrong. LOL. Shot a nice 8 point opening day with devastating internal damage. The bullet entered just behind the left shoulder & broke the shoulder on the right side. The deer was on a full run & quartering away. He ran for about 50 yards falling over all the way until he dropped dead. Upon gutting I found that everything in front of the diaphragm was liquified. It was a very close shot & yet the internal organ damage was massive. I highly recommend these. You can never go wrong with a good partition bullet.

Devastating knockdown ...

Devastating knockdown power from a .45 cal Nosler partition. I have harvested 7 deer in 3 states with this ammo. I went from the 12 ga down to the 20 for comfort 3 years ago. The penetration and internal upset of this bullet is amazing. The accuracy is superb out of my fully rifled Remington SP deer gun. Even in my own state where rifles are allowed I now use my 20 gauge and would not hesitate to take a 200 yard shot from a good rest. I took 3 deer in New York at 110 yards with complete penetration. With only one running on adrenaline for 80 yards from a pass trough heart shot. The recoil is minimal for a 3 inch packing so much wallop as well.
