These did not perform ...

These did not perform well for me. I used these to test out my new Remington 700 and the finish from the snap caps got all scraped up and got red aluminum shavings all over the inside of my action. I am not sure if these are not the right dimensions or if it's just the finish that is poor, but I even had a hard time chambering them. I had to really push down on the bolt handle to get them to lock in. I was worried something was wrong with my gun until I tried with real brass ammo and everything was just fine.

I have a semi-auto AR and this works great. It chambers and extracts correctly. I have not experienced the same problems as others have had with other plastic and aluminum "caps" (breaking, coming apart, spring and caps breaking, etc). I have to admit, I do not use it for practicing trigger pull. I only use it at the end of a range session, so I can uncock the hammer (this product helps to prevent long-term damage to the firing pin & mechanisms when dry firing). The aluminum is not soft and appears to be anodized. The brass primer cap and spring appear to be heavy duty (doesn't dent) and is the only moving part.
