A very handy tool. Fits ...

A very handy tool. Fits in your pocket and no worry about scratching anything on your gun. I use it on my .22 cal pistol. Midway shipping & customer service is the best. I am 100% satisfied with my whole experience here.

I bought this product ...

I bought this product years ago and love it. The color coded heads (adaptors) for different calibers also work great. I bought an extra patchworm kit for my range bag. They are light and take up no room. One thing I never hear anyone mention is that they are great for checking for squib rounds. The rigid plastic makes it work well for this. It's much easier than carrying a squib rod or cleaning rod. Don't get me wrong, you can't remove squibs with this. But you can use it to check your barrel.I just bought another kit for a friend.

I thought the Otis ...

I thought the Otis cleaning kit was the smallest and lightest available and it's about the size of a baseball. The Patchworm Pistol Cleaning Kit fits in a 3" X 4" plastic bag with a zip closure and it weighs .65 ounces! It's the perfect size for a small range bag when you might want to do a little cleaning at the range without carrying all your cleaning gear, but it worked well cleaning at home, too. I cleaned a Beretta NEOS .22 LR pistol with this kit and the short patch pulling beads came in handy where a brush or a longer patch puller or jag probably would not have fit into the short action of the .22 pistol. It did a good job of cleaning the powder fouling but I don't know if the Ballistol would do a good job with lead or copper fouling. I've used most bore cleaners but this was my first time using Ballistol. I don't like the smell. I also didn't like trying to pierce the Ballistol soaked patches on the end of the cleaning cord because that caused solvent to run down my fingers. If I wanted an all-in-one cleaner and lubricant, I'd probably impale dry patches and then apply some Otis cleaner and lubricant. I prefer mildly abrasive bore cleaners and I tested that as well and the Patchworm pulled the abrasive patches just fine. $2 for 12 replacement Patchworm patches seems steep, but I had no trouble using inexpensive and very good Hoppes Sontara patches and adding my own cleaner or RemOil. The Sontara patches are a bit tougher to pierce, but a twisting motion does the trick. You can use .22 LR patches for almost all calibers (that's nice!) and they'll be large enough to cover the caliber specific patch pulling bead, or you can use the regular sized patches for that caliber and the rest will trail out behind like a badminton shuttlecock to provide a little more cleaning surface. The synthetic Sontara patches are a little thinner than the cotton Patchworm patches, so the fit is slightly looser. Despite its extremely light weight and small size, it's tough stuff (str

Perfect quick range kit. ...

Perfect quick range kit. It fits in a pocket and pulls through with no risk of bore damage. It would be great for hunters "just in case". Handy for breaking in a new barrel too.
