I got this safety for my Regent 1911 A1 because the blued one is out of stock. The safety did engage sear but when I did the click test it failed " cock hammer put on safe pull trigger sear moves a little, pull hammer back and it clicks" the sear mating area does not come with enough metal to fit it. It was already too short, now I'm out 23 bucks cause when I installed it it got marks on it. I gave it 1 star because it does look nice for the price

I ordered this part for my Colt Combat Elite. The part was rough and cheaply made, When I took it to the gunsmith for fitting, the first thing he asked me was where did you get this piece of junk! He tried to make it work but it did not function properly. So I am out $25. I guess you get what you pay for!

This is the exact part that was installed in my Colt Rail Gun from the factory. It didn't mate together with enough friction to hold the two parts together. It was so loose that you could hear the right side rattling when you touched the pistol. It began to mar the frame under the grip and at times made it hard to smoothly work the safety. I replaced it. Colt has not been impressing me with their cheap manufacturing lately.

Colt has to be importing this from some poor far away country. Same junk they are putting in their factory guns now along with the plastic mainspring housings and triggers. WOW ! Not impressed.

I installed the safety on a Colt 1991A1. After minor fitting, it works flawlessly. The finish matches the pistol as if it came from the factory.

This part is roughly finished, but that was expected because of the low price. The lug (the part that blocks the sear) was out of spec, and didn't touch the sear, even before filing. Midway promptly returned my money with no questions asked.

Ive got the gunsmithing skills of a baby monkey and after a few trips to google to get the gun apart (and 2 more for reassembly) the part dropped in flawlessly into my M1991A1 Government and finish was spot on to the factory stainless.
