I've loaded a little over 300 rounds of these Hornady FMJ RN 110 gr. bullets for my M1 Carbines. I noticed significant accuracy improvement with these bullets than I was getting with bulk military surplus ammo. And of course you're thinking, "Well, what you did expect you stupid monkey, it's a freakin' handload!?". Well, I didn't expect to go from 4.5" groups down to a 2.25" group at 100 yds. with a 30 M1 Carbine round nose bullet eventhough I do have a new Criterion match grade barrel on this particular M1 Carbine. I've also not had any chambering or cycling problems with these bullets. You're other choices for this gr. weight is either the Berry's plated lead bullets, Remington or Speer. Forget Berry's, unless you're loading them for an M2 Carbine and want to waste a lot of lead in a hurry; Remington's are so-so; and Speer is a close second to Hornady.

A superb bullet for the ...

A superb bullet for the M1 .30 Carbine handloader. They are very consistent and allow for truly repeatable and accurate handloads. They work perfectly in once fired manufactured brass. Other brands had large ogives that didn't chamber. Not these. These were on the money!

The base is exposed lead, which is not typical of Hornady bullets. Otherwise, works great in my M1 Carbine.

For anyone that has a .30 ...

For anyone that has a .30 carbine, this is a projectile that is the best example of the originally intended bullet for this rifle application. This bullet will duplicate its role as intended by the military ordinance dept when it was created. The 3000 rnd box is a great savings and the way ammo components are going it is one of the best things you as a reloader can do for yourself. You can have the best firearms known to man kind, but without ammo your rifles become paper weights.

I bought these bullets to ...

I bought these bullets to use for small game loads in my .308. I don't want any expansion. I have found them to be extremely accurate. They are also inexpensive, which means I get to shoot more. I like that.
