It works OK I guess but ...

It works OK I guess but all the problems others have noted are real to a degree. Good price though, but what value? And all problems noted, such as body flexing and cartridges falling out are even worse with .410 shells than with regular .45 bullets. Worst of all was the way they lacked clearance due to the bulky grip on my Taurus 45/410 3" Judge. I tried cutting off about 1/16th inch from the flat side with sharp scissors, and that helped clearance just a bit. But best of all was when I bought the replacement Hogue Monogrip for Taurus Trackers. The loader bodies have adequate clearance now and work pretty fast with practice, but these are a poor substitute for a Safariland Comp-2 speedloader or similar as I use in my Taurus 85UL. When Safariland comes out with a 5-shot .45 model I'm surely ditching these.

I bought these since there are no other options I could find to carry spare ammo for my 5 shot 45 Colt Taurus. I find the large loop for gripping the loader a little bit of a hindrance for "concealed carry".I also have some concerns of the cartridges being dislodged from it's positions in the loader during any physical activity since it is held in place only by a small, thin flexible rubber lip at the rim. Because of what I see as shortcomings for using these loaders for concealed carry I am going to try to find a rigid speedloader pouch that these loaders will fit into and maybe even modify the loop as needed too.

This is a potentially unsafe product. Cartridges are not held securely in place and could easily become dislodged from the loader. Law enforcement personnel should pass on this and search for another option.

I bought 4 of these for use in my Taurus 45/410 Judge when using 45LC. It works fine. The only drawfack is high price of pouches from Maxfire.

I own a Taurus Raging ...

I own a Taurus Raging Bull .454 Casull, which is a 5 shot .454. Since no-one had release a speedloader for my gun yet, I bought a couple of these Maxfire speedloaders instead. Although designed for a slightly smaller cylinder than my gun, the rubber construction allows me to finagle the bullets into place when using rounded bullets or normal hollow points, since the smaller tip diameter allows me to put the bullet partially in. Occasionally, a couple bullets will fall to the ground because I thought they were in before they actually were. All in all, this is great for going to the target range, especially since it isn't designed for my gun. I'd highly recommend to any Raging Bull .454 owners to buy a couple of these until Maxfire releases speedloaders for the .454.

This speedloader does ...

This speedloader does work, but not as well as I would like. I bought it for my Taurus 454 Raging Bull. You need to help guide the rounds into the chamber first and then pull the speadloader away. Pull it away quickly and half the rounds will fall out. Pull it away slowly and you can get them all in. That kind of defeats the purpose of a speedloader though. I can load 5 rounds by hand just as fast, if not faster than with this speedloader. Save your money and skip this one.
