Just like Lucas said. Basically, this works fine. The problem is getting the metal clamp to grip the metal barrel and mag tube if one is using a sling. As a clamp, this is perfect, but as a sling base, it's inadequate. The electrical tape (or something) is necessary to keep the clamp from sliding up and down the barrel and mag tube if the weight of the gun (mine's a heavy Rem 1100) is carried with the sling (and isn't that what a sling is for?). Recommending that customers use electrical tape is hardly ideal...

Great kit for the money. ...

Great kit for the money. The clamp is necessary for an extension, and the swivel is nice. It also comes with an extra swivel for your stock if you need it. In addition it has a plain screw in case you don't want the swivel on the clamp. My only complaint is that it calls for some electrical tape on the back of the clamp to prevent slipping. It kinds of ruins the appearance, I would rather it just had some rubberizing on the back.
