Rifle and shotgun ...

Rifle and shotgun shooters beware: these are designed to be used with the band beneath your chin, which interferes with a shooter attempting any sort of cheek weld. They can also be used behind the head, but I find the band uncomfortably digs into my ears when used in that way. Still, the noise reduction is good even though the slightest brushing of clothes or hair against the band is transmitted directly to my ears. The spring tension of the band is quite strong, making prolonged use uncomfortable even though the gel earplugs are soft and comfortable. I'll keep this device around for use with power tools, but I am disappointed with it as a shooting accessory.

I've had good luck with these; I use them for construction work as well as shooting. It's the best way to have hearing protection; just wear it around your neck until you need it. I had mine for 6 months before they broke; and it was the actual band, not the piece that holds the gel plug. We need a better product! Something with more space for my huge head and perhaps adjustable tension.

My second pair broke where the plug attaches, just like the first pair. I wore them twice. Don't buy these.

Uncomfortable, not ...

Uncomfortable, not durable and awkward to wear. They need to go back to the drawing board on this design. The plug material is too fragile and will not even hold up to even light use. Too much spring tension makes these very uncomfortable to use. I threw mine in the trash. Very disappointing.

I must agree with some of the others. The first pair came with one end broken- returned to Midway and with their usual great service they sent me a replacement which also arrive broken. At that time I decided that I couldn't use this model and sent back to Midway for a no questions asked refund.

These plugs are ok. They aren't very comfortable, but are great to wear around your neck if you need them periodically. The first pair I got were broken during shipping where the plug meets the band... It's very thin and fragile. Midway replaced them - so great service there. So, if you're looking for something to have around your neck that you will need for a shot here and there, they are great, but I wouldn't want to wear them for a long period of time.

The problem with this product is the very small dia. plastic brittle pin that holds the earpieces on. One of mine broke off before I had a chance to use them.
