This is an excellent choice for a factory rifle trigger upgrade. Includes a bottom safety, a bottom bolt release and is pre-set for a 1lb pull. The trigger pull can be adjusted from 1-1/2 oz to 3 lbs using the included springs. Fits the Remington 700 and 40X rifles, right hand only. Gunsmith fitting recommended.

Technical Information

The model 7 requires a different bolt release lever which is available from Jewell

Giving this trigger five ...

Giving this trigger five stars for performance. The directions didn't explain much of anything. For the money I expected great directions and great performance. It definitely performs way better than I could have hoped. Took me about 30 min. to install I didnt have to grind or sand down anything it fit flawless.

This is my 2nd Jewell and ...

This is my 2nd Jewell and first with the bottom safety, installation was a snap, remove crap X mark Pro trigger, remember dont slide the pins all the way out, if you do the spring will fall out and will take more time you can spend shooting. Install new Jewell trigger but youll have to get yourself a small phillips screw driver and take the safety knob off to get by the stock, dont do what I did and file away your stock, luckily it was the plastic stock that came with my Rem. SPSS, H-S Precision stock is on order. You might have to file the trigger guard to make the safety slide freely or maybe not.

WOW! What a difference ...

WOW! What a difference this "jewel of a Jewell" makes! I was originally going to install the "standard" top safety version of this trigger, but ended up selecting this version with the bottom safety inside the trigger guard, as it was in stock and I didn't want to wait for a back order. I installed this trigger on a Remington 700 VS. I read through the on-line installation instructions by PeteR, which have some helpful pictures (you can copy-paste/special into MS Word and print them so you have them at your side, Google "Jewell Trigger" and you'll find it). This trigger was an easy installation. The only modification I made was to shave just a bit off of the inside of the trigger guard housing to make sure the bottom safety didn't drag against it. Other than that it just dropped right in. If you select this trigger, one hint I'll pass on is to release the floor plate when reinstalling the trigger guard assembly, as you need to turn it slightly to the side to clear the safety - this will help get the follower and spring out of the way. Also make sure to extend the safety (to the on-safe position) to give yourself more room. I didn't spend more than 25 minutes installing the trigger. Another 20 minutes had a new scope mounted and bore sighted. By the way, you will absolutely know when the safety is on-safe, as it pulls down far enough to block you from inserting your finger into the trigger guard - a nice feature. Vigorously cycling the action and banging the butt of the rifle onto the (carpeted) floor did not cause any unintentional release, nor did cycling the safety on and off aggressively. No creep. Super crisp let-off. I'm totally satisfied.
