Flitz Rifle and Gun Wax is a carnauba and beeswax formula that provides exceptional results on blued, nickel and stainless steel as well as polished and hand-rubbed stocks. It removes and protects against rust, fingerprints, water stains and powder residue. Will not attract dust or wash off in rain. Water-based, contains no solvents. Easy to apply and buff off and protects up to 3 months.

Easy of Use and Quality is Outstanding

Best advice I can offer is to clean the firearm, knife, etc, well before applying the Flitz. A little goes a long, long way !! You will want to clean the item first anyway before the application of Flitz, but this product really puts a protective layer on the wood handles, steel, blued areas, etc.

Perfect gun cleaner

When Hoppes 9 and CLP failed to clean the chamber on my Ruger GP100, a friend recommended this stuff to get rid of the powder. It worked like a charm and my SS revolver is shiny again!

I have used Flitz products for two decades, Flitz wax for the last 6-7 years. Nothing makes my guns look better then Flitz wax and protects them in storage. I use on rifles, shotguns and pistols. Blued barrels, stocks, stainless. Easy to apply, I use a large cotton bore patch and polish with a Flitz micro-fiber rag.

I don't care much for SS ...

I don't care much for SS barrels and synthetic stocks and because of that, I have occasional extra maintenance to do on my guns. This wax does a good job of protecting the metal and wood, and the time it takes is worth the few minutes it takes to put a protective coat of wax on the entire gun, and very easy to do. It's a good habit to get into with any gun, even stainless metal is stainless not stain or rust free. I've used Flitz wax for a long time and it's always worked well. It leaves a satin type finish, not high gloss. If you like wood and bluing as much or more than SS and synthetic, I'm sure you'll like it.
