The Choate Ultimate Sniper and Varmint stocks are designed for maximum performance in the field. This cheek rest accessory provides increased flexibility and versatility. The standard cheek rest is approximately 0.630" tall while the tall cheek rest is approximately 0.940" tall. Fits both the Sniper and Varmint series Ultimate Stocks.

Choate Ultimate Sniper Stock Cheek Rest

This is another quality part from Choate. It's definitely an improvement to the basic Choate sniper stock. There is only one issue; if you screw the cheek weld in place then there is not enough room to remove your bolt for cleaning, and you will also have to take the time to remove the cheek weld. It's not really a huge deal, just thought it was worth pointing out. It's overall a good addition to a precision Remington 700 rifle.

Perfect for your choate stock in your savage action. No need to use the screw to hold it in place because you cant remove your bolt with it installed. Barrel did not center in channel but has plenty of clearance for a bull barrel profile.

Try this piece before you decide to purchase a new rifle stock due to cheek weld issues. This is the least expensive way to very effectively improve the cheek weld on the hollow, pillar bedded synthetic stocks typically issued with some Savage bolt action high power rifles. I used the standard height model and it worked well enough to change my mind about buying a complete new stock. If it doesn't work, you're only out of $11.00 or so and you might spend at least that much on ammo zeroing at the range! - H.Braxton, Elizabethtown, KY
